Of all the Econolodges that I have stayed at, this one was the best. There were granite countertops in the bathroom, nightstands, and dresser tops. The lobby was updated and clean, and the rooms were clean also. We stayed in a room with three queen beds, as we have a family of five. This was a unique situation for us as I usually get a room that is a suite with two queens, and a pull out couch. I believe, but I am not sure, that we were in the only room that had three queen beds. The third queen was actually in sort of a little alcove, set apart from the other two. it was very nice not to have to fool with a pull out couch and I appreciated that fact more than the hotel will know. Breakfast was varied and good. My only complaint is that we stayed two nights and our room was not made up after our first night. We had arrived at 11:30 PM and were sleeping in the next morning. Housekeeping knocked on the door at 8 AM and before I could even get up and out of the bed, they had opened the door and promptly apologized. I told them we would be out in a couple hours. (Sub note: I spent three summers in high school working as a housekeeper in a resort. Our policy was to always clean the checkouts first and then the stay overs. I mean, who knocks on a stayover door at 8 o’clock in the morning? ). When we got back to the hotel late that first full day, I was a little disappointed that our room had not cleaned. I chose not to complain because it was like 11 PM and what can you do at that point? Maybe it had been a really busy day for the housekeepers? Besides, I just asked for clean towels at the front desk and left it at that. That wasn’t that big of a deal, but I thought I would mention it here.
