Best Western Shelbyville Lodge

We sent one of our crews there, with a total of 3 rooms, from September 9, 2024-October 10, 2024. Sunny, the General Manager, worked out a negotiated rate with our company. However the job ended early, and our crews checked out personally at the front desk on September 27, 2024. Instead of crediting our company credit card for the 13 days for 3 rooms, they continued to charge. I contacted Mr. Sunny personally, on October the 10, 2024, whenever he sent me the portfolios of the 3 rooms. All he would say is that he fired the girl at the front desk, and he would review the cameras. Now, that hotel charged our company credit card again on October 16, 2024 another $4,883.76, not once but twice. Again, I contacted Mr. Sunny Patel via email, and I called the front office. At this given time, they have intentionally charged our credit card $13,457.31 too much. BE VERY CAREFUL OF THIS HOTEL.

Worst Best Western ever. Outside doors leading into hotel, half were not working. Front desk staff did not notifiy us of any door issues. Never mentioned late check out fee, that keys stop working at normal time. I had to keep going to the front desk and ask about issues, then they were not nice or helpful when questioned about bill or issues. Hotel is very noisy. Rooms had a musty smell. When the heater was turned on, it smelled like something was burning. Toilet had flushing issues. Carpets felt sticky. Avoid staying here. Way too expensive for what is received.

Stay one night and two days later arms full of bed bug bites! Really sucks and don’t want anyone else to have to deal with the bites. Management won’t call me back. Location was good and place seemed ok otherwise but it is kinda bad for me dealing with this!

My husband and I were looking for a hotel close off the highway for one night so we stayed at the Best Western hotel in Shelbyville, Kentucky. The young woman at the desk was polite and checkin was easy. It was mostly downhill from there. When we opened our room door we were greeted with a musty smell. There were two burned out lights in the bathroom, so that made it very dim. We took two bulbs from lights in the room and put them in the bathroom so we could see better. There was also another bulb burned out in a lamp. The tub faucet ran all night and it wasn’t just a drip, but a continuous stream of water. The toilet was very low, the tank was tilting, and the toilet seat was loose. The hair dryer obviously hadn’t been attached to the wall for quite sometime as there were large holes on the wall when I tried to take the dryer off the attachment. It was strange that the light switches were much higher than the standard level, so using the bathroom at night left us fumbling for the light. The refrigerator made noise at night, which made it hard to sleep, however, the bed and pillows were comfortable. The chair near the window had a huge rip in the fabric of the seat. One reason we chose this hotel was that they had a pool. We arrived late and thought we could exercise by swimming in the morning but they didn’t open until 10:00 and checkout was 11:00 so we wouldn’t have time to swim, shower, and eat. Many hotels have earlier hours for adults to swim and I would think parents would like to have pool time for their kids, so opening at 9:00 would make more sense. The breakfast was good and they offered a variety of food.

The room was fine. It was clean. The beds were comfortable. Check in was easy. We got a room on the first floor. They had a hot breakfast in the morning. They were out of biscuits when we got to the breakfast room. (An it was more than 30 mins. Prior to closing) when we asked they said it would be 20 mins before they were done. Obliviously we didn’t want to wait that long so we opted for other items. They brought the biscuits out just as we were leaving. Just need to be better prepared on the hot food. But I’m sure the workers ate up those biscuits.

Has been my go to hotel for several years when passing through. I enjoy the outdoor breakfast setting and the staff is always warm and inviting.

Wow, what a great place to stay overnight. Parked right outside room. Check in area updated and very inviting. Beds are so comfortable. Room very clean. AC worked great. Bathroom clean. Great breakfast. Would stay here again most definitely!

Was looking for hotels that was affordable for our trip to the Louisville area. Not only was we looking for affordability but good reviews and close proximity. After reading reviews on this one we liked the reviews and decided on it. Was not disappointed. Was a little further away, but worked out with no complaints.

Was in town for an interview and stayed one night. Rooms are super clean, located right on the main drag to get places, and friendly staff. Breakfast was standard hotel fare, but very clean! Didn't ask for any service as we didn't need it, hence the 5 star there.
