Located at the corner of Beale Street and Front Street, this property is situated less than 2 blocks from the entrance of the Beale Street Entertainment District, close to the central Business District and is on the banks of the Mississippi River. With 227 total guestrooms and suites, all with oversized windows and views of the city or the river, the hotel will be part of the larger development of One Beale. When complete the complex will include a residential component, additional restaurant and bar options ranging from casual to fine dining. The property will include approximately 9,000 sq ft of unique meeting space created through the conversion of the historic William C. Ellis and Sons Ironworks and Machine Shop, originally constructed in 1879. The property will include a Latin Inspired 3 meal restaurant, Cimas, with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the Mississippi River and famous M Bridge, outdoor patio dining overlooking the river and pool deck and a local vibe through design and music components. Additionally, the property will include a Lobby Bar specializing in curated cocktails. Beck Call will be the 3rd outlet on property and is a high end Whiskey Bar located on the roof of the property with amazing views of Beale Street and an open air concept with one wall having the ability to fully open to the patio. The rooftop will also offer casual bench seating, fire pits, additional mobile bar options and views of the Memphis skyline and Mississippi River. Hyatt Centric Beale Street Memphis will also include the only “Resort Style” pool experience in the downtown market. This unique experience will include an expansive pool deck, 4 private cabanas, food and beverage options and a music concept to bring the space to life.

Stayed here as part of a tour, it's located about a 20-minute walk from Beale Street in a business area of town. Room was nice enough, pool outside looked a bit ordinary, staff were friendly, except service in the bar which was very slow. Biggest downside for me was that we stayed for three nights & my room wasn't cleaned once! Very disappointing

Stayed Monday-Friday. Was concerned upon checking in to discover we were staying right off the lobby next to the fitness center. That proved to not be an issue at all. Room recently remodeled: spacious, comfortable, functional, clean. Exactly what we needed for a 5 day stay. Great location: tucked off the main road near Shelby Farms Park but no more than 20 minutes from all the main attraction of Memphis. Had to ask a few questions and the front desk agent was extremely kind. The only reasons for 4 instead of 5 is 1) the pool was closed “until further notice” for renovations but saw none even in progress and 2) the breakfast was pretty awful and just got worse as the week went on. Very limited selection and all heavy food (biscuits, cinnamon rolls, bagels, ect). However just went over to the Kroger and got cereal and bread so no big deal.

We checked in around 10pm and were given room 118, which is right around the corner from the main lobby. The room was clean, the tv and ac was on in expectation of our arrival. I won’t say a lot here because I have mixed feelings about this stay. I just don’t understand stains or spots on towels or bedding that aren’t discarded and are easily visible. The sink backed up quickly and never completely drained out. Some furniture pieces starting to show age but no loud noises could be heard in the room and the bed was comfortable. One other thing- a shirtless man smoking a cigarette hiding in the shadows at the back entrance was concerning. Location is great with close access to interstate and lots of dining options.

We arrived 6-17-22 after booking online. The bed was clean but, the room was questionable at best. My family had rooms next door to each other. The first night, we noticed roaches in my brother’s room as they came crawling out on the TV stand. It was reported to the front desk however, where they told him to come to the front desk in the morning for the manager to address it. That same night, I noticed several small roaches during my midnight visit to the restroom. We were disgusted to say the least! Unfortunately, all hotels we called in the area were booked. The manager accommodated us by moving us to rooms on the opposite side of the property the next morning. I told her I had pictures of the roaches, but she never asked to see them. These people know they have a problem!! We did not come to this place expecting a 5-star experience however, at minimum, we expected a clean place to rest. I would not recommend this place to ANYONE! The first clue should have been the smell of urine as I climbed the stairs to the second floor! TOTALLY DISGUSTED!!

This time it is a business trip to stay at the hotel, the overall environment is good, the experience of staying is very good, if the price can be as affordable as domestic, it is very good.

Rooms are spacious and clean. Front desk lady is very nice. Slow check in because she was the only one working. She did the best she could. Ambience was terrible in the lobby. Half the lights were not on, the TV was turned off, and the restaurant and bar were closed due to being short staffed. One of the reasons I picked this place was because of the convenience of having a restaurant on site. They should’ve had something posted on the IHG app so I would’ve had a heads up. I would stay here again for the rooms but would definitely consider other options that are in the same price range.

As an elite member of the Marriott club, I expected more from this hotel during my stay a few days ago. The lady that checked me was a very nice, professional and the total opposite of Mr. Nathaniel (a purported Assistant Manager.) Not sure what's going on with this employee, Mr. Nathaniel, but every time I meet him at the front desk, his answers are always no to every request or question. This is what happens when you promote or put too many responsibilities on an individual in my view that are not management material or lack the zeal to think outside the box. In all honesty, to seat down and recap a bad experience and ultimately put it on paper takes time and it’s not a pleasant exercise but sometimes that’s the only way to get the negative experience information out of your system. So, this is not my first “Rodeo” with this purported Assistant Manager Mr. Nathaniel, very unfriend and gives a conflicting information contrary to SOP in my view. A classic example was the issue of breakfast on the weekend relative to Marriott elite members who are already staying at the Concierge level and are accorded a complimentary breakfast. I noticed the new employee; a young lady was kind enough to acknowledge the lack of complementary breakfast on the weekend and the new CSR young lady was prudent enough to give me an option and was very complimentary and professional. This Nathaniel young man in my view failed his in duty as a CSR manager and as a manager of common sense when it comes to situational and circumstances that was before the hotel on that day, with respect to making us the guest happy. I remember a story that cut my attention when the “Oracle of Omaha” was in Chicago few years ago and the hotel he was staying in do does not serve certain soda and Warren Buffett is use to drinking a particular soda and comes then, the front desk manager got a wind of his request and went out of his way to a local store and got the man his heart desire. Yes, it sounds funny but the irony here is that customers will keep coming back when you tailored your response to their need. The hotel in issue is clean but the attitude of this one person made me forget everything else that I liked about my short stay. SMH, this is not his first time and it’s not a good look. -Doc
