Sheffield (Arena)

Very nice hotel, usual premier inn standard. Very helpful friendly staff. Great breakfast for a good price. Evening meal was typical pub grub nothing special, fairly priced. Chose this hotel for its vicinity to the Sheffield arena which was a couple of minutes walk away so could take advantage of the free parking at the hotel.

I stayed with my 12 year old son as we were going to Sheffield Arena for an event. We were welcomed very warmly by reception and check in was really easy. The bed was comfy and the room really clean. We had a family room (double and pull out) which is the only option on the website when booking with a child, but at this age we would prefer to be able to book a twin room. Breakfast was fab - food was piping hot and regualarly restocked, and the staff were again very friendly and helpful. I have stayed in late of Premier Inn's, and would always recommend them, but this was one of the best in terms of breakfast quality and staff friendliness.

I’m a solo female traveler who stayed in premier inn Sheffield ( Arena) hotel in January 2025. I came to Sheffield to attend important academic event. Iam from another country , new to uk and I needed help with different things as Iam new to how things work here. One particular staff member in the hotel, I don’t know his name but I would describe him as middle aged African man.From what i observed he worked both in front desk and restaurant as well made my stay very stressful with his condescending attitude behaviour, judgemental , sarcastic facial expressions, condescending way of talking towards me when ever I ask for some help or something. Because of him my stay became more stressful and unpleasant before the important event I have to attend, to the extent it has affected my performance in that event. Due to his sarcastic, condescending and judgmental , discriminatory behaviour and attitude and the way of talking towards me I was hesitant to come to front desk and ask for any help and come down and eat in restaurant as well. I did not understand what is this behavior towards me , all in all it has ruined my stay and made me very uncomfortable, unpleasant as a solo female traveler. There is one another staff member worth mentioning is Mr Keron who was very helpful, pleasant, has very good and friendly attitude.He has even helped me with my taxi booking on my last day at hotel. I doubt if I will return to this hotel again. This stay in January 2025 left very unpleasant experience with the hotel before an important event when Iam supposed to be in a calm and peaceful state. Very disappointed. It’s better to stay in some other hotel where staff are more helpful.

We needed a place to leave our bags for an event as we was told it was too big to take in we came in to a lovely friendly welcome from Paul he stored our bags for us which we appreciate as we would of missed our event other wise he had fantastic customer service and he is very professional we will be booking this premier in when we are back in Sheffield.

I am staying at one of your hotels with my family and would like to complain about your front desk team. Usually the service on previous visits is great and there are no issues. Unfortunately, on this occasion, my wifi speed in the room is below 0.3 mb, and I have never experienced such low speeds staying at this hotel many times. I went downstairs and spoke to your front desk team, Martin, to explain the problem. I was amazed at how poorly his response was! He kept on saying, What do you want me to do? I am just a front desk staff member, and it had nothing to do with him. I asked to speak to the manager. Martin went back to the office and came back to say the manager will offer me a 24-hour premium wifi for one device and rudely said next time you will need to pay for it. Bearing in mind we are a family of 4 staying for 3 nights. I am surprised how the situation was handled and how the manager was not even bothered to come out and address the situation. I showed screenshots of my wifi speed and even asked for someone to test the speed in my room. But they made me feel like it was somehow my fault or I was lying. The rooms are not what are advertised. I was given a old room.

Excellent mid range hotel a perfect location for Ice Sheffield. Room was very clean and car park which was part of the hotel felt secure. But the best thing of all were the staff. Every staff member we came into contact with was friendly and kind and could not do enough to help us. Would definitely stay again.
