We were disappointed with our stay at the Oasis Hotel. It is conveniently located to Road America which is why I chose it. We had stayed there several years ago under different management & thought it was okay then. Our room was quite small, particularly the bathroom, with insufficient room to put out our toiletries. Our TV never worked quite right - couldn't get some channels that we should have been able to. The breakfast was really poor, as others have commented - no cereal, fruit or milk. The staff tried to help & were quite nice.

Easy to get to off the highway, quick check in. Had 2nd floor room, but already knew they had no elevator, staircases are convenient at the end of each wing, and a center one that leads directly to the pool area. Great pool and hot tub. Breakfast from 6-9 had bagels, toast, scrambled eggs and sausage, pancakes, but no cereal and milk (strange being in the dairy state and all). Room was basic: 1 flat screen TV. microwave, fridge, hairdryer, desk and chair.

For a wedding in Glenbulah, my husband and I stayed one night at The Oasis Hotel & Bar. We chose it mainly b/c all of the hotels and B&B's near the wedding were already booked or insanely expensive. This turned out to be a very good thing ... I do road trips between Chicago and Florida 6-8 times per year. I generally stay in Hilton properties b/c that's where I get points. So, I can say confidently that this little hotel got *everything* right. The super-nice lady at the front desk let me know that the hotel had just been renovated, with more improvements to come. When we got to the room (#215) the first thing I noticed was how clean--really clean--everything was. Freshly painted walls and ceiling, brand new clean carpet in the bed area, clean and up-to-date sink/toilet/shower area, no weird spots on the ceiling, no hair in the sink, no slow/gurgling drains, no holes in the walls, no wobbly furniture or doors that don't close properly, no spots on the sheets. The window A/C and heat worked with no issues, the lamps and television worked with no issues. These are BASICS that every hotel or motel should keep up with, but many do not. Even many Hilton properties. The next surprise were the two queen-sized beds that had four pillows each. New memory foam/innerspring mattresses atop a metal platform that didn't move, squeak, shift or sag. Again, this is simple stuff that many hotels don't get right. There was also a mini-fridge and a microwave we did not use. This is not a luxury hotel. Far from it. This is what every hotel/motel used to be like back in the day. Clean room, simple layout, nothing fancy (i.e. no quartz countertops, etc). But it hit the mark in every way that matters. And it was affordable. The breakfast in the lobby was the only thing that was lacking. The hot items, eggs and sausages, looked OK, and there were some bagels and a make-your-own pancake machine. Missing was fresh fruit, cereal, milk, and yogurt. So, I went with a cup of coffee, which was fine, but there were no lids for the to-go coffee cups, so I had to drink half a cup and toss it before we got in the car. Overall, this place was a big win. We'll be back if we're in the area.

It is now called the Oasis. The front desk staff was efficient and super friendly. Accomodated my request for a 2nd floor room without any hassle. Room was super updated and very clean. Nice view out the back to a huge lawn. Very quiet all night long. They have a little pub which is covenient. The indoor pool and spa was a nice amenity. McDonalds and KwikTrip to the north. Very fair rate, too, for a king bed room. 5-star rating! (Only dink - but not for me - there is no elevtaor but there are plenty of 1st floor rooms.)

Freshly remodeled. Everything nice and clean inside and out. Everyone was nice as could be. Comfortable mattresses and pillows. Good water pressure in the shower. They even have a nice little bar. Easy access off the highway.

Best hotel my company reserved me in a long time. Room was great, hot tub and pool were amazing. Lots of pillows on the bed and a super soft fleece middle blanket just like I use back home. After talking with the bar tender I found out he’s the new owner and just reopened last week after a huge remodel. As someone who reads reviews myself when making decisions on where I stay let me just say, you can probably ignore any review prior to March 2023. I heard stories about the remodel process and read previous reviews, but I’d never believe this was the same place. They did a great job and I hope I work in the area up here again.👍🏼

This facility is presently undergoing a fantastic overall renovation. I have never stayed here before and just needed a place to stay for the night. I had business at the local airport. My room was well appointed, clean and quiet! It had not yet been renovated. I will definitely stay here again! The staff were ALL friendly, caring and definitely customer focused!

My husband and I stayed with our 7 month old, and my brother and sister in law stayed in a separate room. The first 2 times calling this hotel, no one answered. We were inquiring about a baby crib (on their website it says they are available). They do not have any as they got rid of them after taking over new management in May. Rooms were okay. Our bathroom sink was a little backed up. No smoke alarm in our room. The continental breakfast did make up for the inconveniences that we experienced.

This place will double charge you! Avoid! We recently stayed for 1 night there as we have done several times before, but this will be our last. The room we were in was just as good as it was in the past. The tv still only had 1 channel and there's no way to change it. This time the hot tub was warm at best and we had to get out after 10 minutes due to shivering. During that time staff went into the service room to assumidly reset the breaker. Another guest said that he has been going into that room every 15 minutes to turn the heat back on. That means theres a serious electrical issue with that hot tub. The handrail to the hot tub was still loose as it has been for several months. I had to personally put out a small fire outside caused by a cigarette butt bucket that hadn't been emptied in a while. Other guests were talking about how their rooms only had space heaters in them as the main units were nonfunctional. Another guest who has transaction text alerts from their bank said that they got double charged. We called our bank immediately and found out that we were also double charged. The individual at the front desk said they couldnt do anything about it until morning. In the morning we were told by David, the owner, that we had to wait until the next business day as he couldnt do anything about it until he talked with his wife. Of course, nothing came of it and Tuesday when the charges finalized another call to the bank occurred. We told the bank about the double charge and for reference to look at the past amounts paid to this hotel. Fast forward a month for the dispute process and the bank says the double charge is legit which is crazy as this is not a $200+ a night hotel. Also during our visit, we saw a couple doing ***** out in their cars and there was also a small hit and run accident which caused someone's mirror to be broken off on a car they recently had purchased as it still had the paper plates. I'm sure I have left some things out since I didn't write this review immediately after the visit.
