Hampton Inn Shawnee

Best location, clean and comfortable

Shawnee is not a melody in my head... What a horrific place that puts shame to the Hampton name. If you are into vintage things look no further than Shawnee Hampton Inn. Walking into the lobby is a time machine that takes you to 1985 in the worst way. An old slow needs to be put out of its misery elevator takes you to a dark sad hallway to a 1997 beauty of a room. Picture walking into an old unfinished basement with 80% humidity when someone didn't take the trash out. That's the smell that greets you in the room. Add the decades of dust, a lack of cleaning and you have one petri dish of allergens. I was so tired from driving and the air quality of that place kept me up all night. Between burning eyes, runny nose and a sore throat I'd say this dump is everything but relaxing. I haven't even mentioned the gross carpet, the unswept tile, brick of a mattress and furniture/bathroom fixtures a Motel 6 is craving to dumpster dive for. I absolutely would not recommend this place to my worst enemy, sleeping behind the dumpster would be a better idea. The area itself is not the greatest and road noise is very loud. All this for $115 dollars a night... L O L

Great Service Enjoyed our stay at the Hampton Inn in Shawnee. Very nice hotel with professional and friendly staff. Highly recommended

The hotel was pretty dirty and unkept. Mold in showers, broken ac unit. Had to change rooms and the second room may have been worse. On the adverse the staff was PHENOMENAL. The staff may have had the best hospitality I’ve ever received and experienced

Not impressed Hotel is dirty and needs to be updated. They put us right by an elevator which sucks because I'm a very light sleeper. It was workers there that were getting drinks out of the breakfast juice machine. They would turn it on and get drinks and then turn it back off. If the work was going to get drinks I think everybody should. Also I think you need a better breakfast. I really like La Quinta and that's my preferred hotel but I was disappointed in this stay

Easy access to 40 Easy in and out for quick stay. Gym is tiny with minimal equipment.
