If I could give negative stars, they would get -100. Some of my bowling club members and I stayed at this hotel from July 10–13, and it was, hands down, one of the worst experiences I’ve had at any hotel. We had originally booked 20 rooms. Fortunately for them, some of our members found a better rate (and a better experience) at the Holiday Inn. Let’s start with the room: • The microwave didn’t work. • The telephone didn’t work either, and there was exposed wiring where the phone should have connected – a safety hazard. • There were no towel bars in the bathroom, so we had nowhere to hang wet towels. • In the shower, there wasn’t even a small shelf or ledge to place soap or shampoo. • The carpet underneath the air conditioner was soaked through with water, which is a clear sign mold will be growing soon if it hasn’t already. On top of the terrible maintenance issues, the customer service was shocking. I complained about other guests banging on doors near my room, and someone who claimed to be the manager hung up on me during the call. When I went to speak with him at the front desk and started recording our conversation (which I had every right to do), he threatened to throw me out of the hotel. Instead of offering help, the manager basically told me, “If you have a complaint, contact corporate,” but refused to provide corporate’s contact information – telling me to “google it” instead. In summary: poorly maintained rooms, broken amenities, safety issues, and an unprofessional, confrontational manager who seems to think guests are the enemy. Folks should avoid this place at all costs. If you value your safety, comfort, and being treated like a human being, look elsewhere.
