Holiday Inn Express & Suites Cincinnati-N/Sharonville

One previous reviewer noted, "how is this a Holiday Inn Express & Suites!!!!!" and I strongly second that feeling! This hotel was a dump! When we walked up to the hotel, my first indication was the blinds in the office that were all broken and at all different angles. This may seem like a small thing but it certainly was a indicator of the rest of the property. First off, the elevator floor was dirty. The room was dark, the carpeting looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages, and it was torn and unraveling right by the door. The light switches looked like they had been installed in the 60's and actually looked unsafe. The bathroom door wouldn't stay open unless you used the door stop attached to the door which was quite inconvenient, particularly in the middle of the night. We've stayed at numerous HIE&S and I've never not wanted to spend the night. We had booked three nights and decided to cancel the remaining two nights. And considering the shape of the room, etc., we opted to eat breakfast at a nearby Waffle House! The only good thing about this hotel was the bed. It was clean and comfy, but overall we were never so happy to check out of a hotel.

Overall it was a very nice hotel. The room was nice and comfortable. The day we checked in the outside temp was in the mid to upper 90s but the A/C in the hotel lobby and halls was not on. That made for a not as pleasant experience. A/C in the room was fine.

A crusty not cleaned well hotel. Outside looked decent and lobby was nice. The room was not cleaned well and definitely needs just a good cleaning. Bathroom was not to the quality of the holiday inn brand. This was a type of room you want to keep slippers on at all times, even in the shower. Not sure if every room is like this but I can image it is with the lack of maintenance down to this room. You can tell them don’t deep clean their rooms.

Checked in a bed begs (photo proof). Got moved to a room that smelled of mold and cat pee. Was told no more moves can be made because all the rooms are taken. Was told I couldn’t cancel because I was already checked in. Room was falling apart. Bathroom shower rod was broken to the point that the curtain was want to slide to the middle of the rod every time.

Stayed one night. No smoke detector in room! Two separate lamps with no bulbs at all so very dim lighting. The bathroom door jammed and didn't want to close. Stains all over the carpet. Bathroom ceiling was peeling and had a gap by exhaust. The only electric plugs were in the lamp base and one by the door, so hard to charge devices. Family said breakfast was okay though. This place was a bit dumpy. Needs attention.

I picked a 1 star , no option for NO stars. As shown in pictures bed had stains on it. Shower had mold growing. Has not yet to refund our money . Another couple told us as we were leaving they had switched rooms 3 times due to room door not locked and nasty .

THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST/DIRTIEST MOTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED AT. SAVE YOUR MOMEY AND STAY SOMEPLACE ELSE!!!!! I can’t stress enough. These case managers who are responding to the other reviews from years ago are full of crap. Nothing has been done to remedy any of the issues they say they are trying to remedy. Checked in after a long day at Kings Island and upon entering room it teamed off cigarette smoke. I immediately alerted the foreign man at the desk and all he could do was apologize. Wanted to advise we are non smokers and that we will not being held responsible for any smoke odor in the room. Don’t think that matters much given the history of reviews from years back also confirming this. Nonetheless, bed sheets dirty, bathroom filthy. A/C did not work. No towels in the room. Listen people, anytime I have ever stayed at an Indian owned facility/motel I’ve had horrible experiences. This is not meant with malice or prejudice by any means but merely my experiences. I don’t know what it is but it has to be cultural when it comes to cleanliness. Do not spend $200 for a nights stay at this place or any other place owned/operated by these people. Do not listen to these case managers. You have the buying power and the only way these types of owners will respond is to boycott and not spend your money at these types of places. I used to walk in a motel 30 years ago and look it over before staying but the way these facilities have everything locked down with technology and reservations today it’s hard to do that. STAY AWAY!!!! And leave this review alone case managers because you are obviously a waste of money and useless-NOTHING HAS CHANGED!!!!

Walked in to a bad , antiseptic smell coming from the cart of cleaning supplies in the middle of the lobby. No one at the desk and had to wait to check .Should have left right then. Our room was on first floor and had noises all night .

Stopped over here for one night heading back to Canada. We usually try to stay at Holiday Inns because they are clean and well looked after. Unfortunately this Hotel was not clean and really needs to be renovated. The bathroom was dirty and the bath was chipped plus the Heater/A/C was not working. Would NOT recommend this Hotel.
