Coral Sea Aqua Club Resort

We just returned from 10 days in Egypt at the coral sea aqua park hotel in sharm El sheikh. There were some really great parts and some not so. This is a large hotel with beautiful grounds, the Christmas lights were lovely. The beach is large and well kept, it was quite empty, it's not as hot in dec/jan as other times of the year. Every evening it was cold, we didn't wear half of our summery clothes, trousers would have been better and a blanket! Daytime temps were lovely 19 - 23 degrees. Only one pool was heated. There are a lot of rules about who can swim where, which was frustrating at times, but it's for safety. There are a lot of sunbeds but as usual you have to get up early for a bed in a good location. The hotel provides towels that are changed regularly. The poolside service was variable. Some barmen were so friendly and really looked after us, others were rude and dismissive. One told me to smile, and then he would get me a drink, behaviour from the 1970s! They have a lot of life guards, the friendliest ones were in the aqua park. The friendliest bar staff were also in the aqua park. The boys work superhard to make sure you are happy. The slides are great, and there is a snack bar. The main buffet restaurant is ok, service is variable, again some amazingly helpful waiters, some not so. We struggled some days to find food we wanted to eat. A lot of the food was not warm enough, and some was flavourless. The New years Eve spread was wonderful, and the staff worked so hard. They provided a party with gift bags, entertainment, and a countdown with balloons. The rooms are amazing, large with comfortable beds, the cleaning team is amazing, we had new towels every day. We enjoyed our holiday very much but there were just a few niggles. The animation team threw a foam party and a fire show with a white party. There is a kids club and a kids disco every day. We didn't know when things were happening, an events board would help. Wi fi is payable but very cheap. Tea and coffee in the room. All the bars offer spirits, coffee, and tea.

We stayed here with my four year old son in October 2024. We had a wonderful family holiday and loved coming back to Sharm! I WOULD stay here again :-) Hotel & location The hotel is spotlessly clean and the cleaning / gardeners / maintenance staff work very hard to maintain these. The location of the hotel is pretty good, walking distance to shops, McDonalds, KFC, Hard Rock and Arabucks. The beach is accessed via crossing the road and using the Holiday Village hotels beach - the beach is stunning. Jetty isn't the best for reef but you can see little fish. You can have soft drinks at the beach, but nothing else so be mindful as it's a 10/15 minute walk which is a lot when you're carrying bags or have small children. Wifi is really good across the entire hotel, no problems video calling / streaming etc - we paid £10/15 for unlimited for the week, definitely worth it. Pool The lifeguards are FANTASTIC, they work hard and are always vigilant - they are strict with pool rules which I feel is important. They always made effort to interact with my son and make him laugh and helped getting us on the rafts in the lazy river. One lifeguard even jumped in the pool as my mom was being dramatic and they thought she needed help (she didn't). The toddler pool is great, with shelter and water shooters and little slides. Perfect depth for toddlers and lifeguards always watching. The wave pool is lovely, gets nice and warm in the sun and waves come on every 30 mins I believe. The splash pad is brilliant as well. My son adored the pools. I went on the slides which were a LOT of fun and the lazy river - only thing I would say is that the life jackets they make you wear could do with being replaced as they smell a bit. Food I loved the food here, lots of choices cooked fresh by chefs and salads / fruit and beautiful puddings. I LOVED the Egyptian desserts - they are beautiful. Food pretty much available all day at various locations. Little kids area with nuggets, chips, pasta and fresh pizza always available. Popcorn available by the main pool also. Drinks We enjoyed the drinks, cocktails were nice and good choice. Entertainment Staff work hard to engage people, a lot of the guests were British when we stayed and staff tried hard to get everyone to join in. There were pool parties when we stayed which were fun and my boy enjoyed the mini disco at night. The entertainment is pretty bog standard but I've been to Sharm 7 times and it's the same in every hotel so do not let this deter you! Cons A few niggles and why I didn't give the hotel 5*: - room a little bit tatty and furniture scuffed (some rooms may be newer though) - some outdoor areas look a bit dated as well, e.g decking around pools - the gym was very poor, hardly any equipment and a few pieces broken, no air con on so was 32 degrees in there - this could be improved. - drinks served in paper cups which I didn't like as they make your drink taste like paper so take your own bottles. Wow. What an amazing holiday we have just returned from. 12/12/2024 - 26/12/2024 2 weeks with what I can only describe as new friends for life. People here went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Assisting us in each and any situation we came across. Big shoutout to Hossam “Sammi” the lifeguard who played ball with us, went out and bought a part to fit our ball we brought from the uk to inflate it for us out of his own pocket. He’s always smiling and a very good character to have around the poolside he makes the days a lot more fun. From beer pong (Pete pong) to daily games of darts we had the best time. The food was delicious. Tasty full of flavour and a large variety. Our room “2210” was cleaned daily with fresh towels and cleaned which it needed considering we have a messy 6 year old with crisps and biscuit crumbs everywhere. So Thankyou for that. In the lobby bar “Ahmed number 1” is great! He’s lovely, helpful and always up for a laugh. The animation team, Tegan became our son’s best friend in only two weeks he’s become so attached to her because of her warm and positive attitude towards her work, he wouldn’t leave her side and she just accepted him. She is great for advice or just a friendly English conversation. Tegan put 100% into her work at all time and it really showed! Amy in animation is also lovely when you talk to her. My son had a lot of time for her also. Thankyou to you all for making our 2024 Christmas Day one we will never forget. Just home from a brilliant 2 weeks at the Coral Sea Aqua Club. We’d definitely return! The hotel is really well kept, our room was lovely and spacious and cleaned immaculately every day. We loved the choice of pools for our little boy with lots of activities and slides. But the main thing that made our stay memorable was the staff! The bar, restaurant and housekeeping staff were all so friendly and were amazing entertaining our little boy. The animation team were fantastic and took the time every day to play with our son and say hello, to tell us about the days activities and kept us entertained! They put plenty of entertainment on during the day and night, and encouraged us to take part but also understood when our little boy needed to relax (he’s 18 months old). We were here for Christmas and wasn’t sure if it would feel ‘christmassy’ but the hotel staff and animation team put sooo much effort in, it was amazing! If you’re a family thinking of booking I would definitely advise you do it :)
