"That afternoon, we made a last-minute decision to cancel our original hotel booking, thinking it would be more convenient to stay on Paifang Street given the rainy weather. We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel! Firstly, its prime location right on Paifang Street makes it incredibly convenient to walk to several major attractions. Secondly, the design is full of thoughtful details, and the hotel feels very new as it hasn't been open long. Every staff member, from the butler to the front desk and restaurant staff, was incredibly friendly! Initially, after reading some reviews, I was a bit concerned about potential street noise. However, we were assigned a room on the 6th floor, and based on my family's experience, aside from a brief minute or two of noticeable noise from the street below around 9 AM, we didn't hear any other street noise at all during our stay. P.S. A minor suggestion for improvement: perhaps because we are a family of four, the waste bins in both the bathroom and the room were a bit on the small side for our needs."

While not brand new, the hotel's predominantly white design is surprisingly well-maintained, which is quite commendable. The bedding was fresh and clean, free from any strange odors, and didn't cause any skin irritation. **👯♂️Service:** The staff demonstrated excellent service awareness. It's clear the manager is deeply committed to running the hotel and fostering positive guest relationships, always striving to resolve any issues. The housekeeping staff were also incredibly diligent; I often observed them meticulously cleaning and tidying up when passing by. **📍Location:** The hotel is situated right inside the scenic area, making it very family-friendly, especially with children. In the mornings, the kids were taken out for a stroll while we enjoyed some extra sleep at the hotel. Shared electric scooters and tricycles are readily available right outside the entrance, offering very convenient transportation. **🚘Parking:** There are only two 'first-come, first-served' parking spaces directly in front of the hotel. However, the hotel does provide a dedicated parking lot about a ten-minute walk away. When we needed to retrieve our car, the lovely manager kindly lent us an electric bike to ride to the parking lot. I'd suggest the hotel consider offering a shuttle service to and from the remote parking lot. This would be incredibly convenient, as guests typically rely on tricycles or shared e-scooters for getting around the area, meaning there's often no need to drive once parked. With light rail construction ongoing nearby, driving can also be very congested. We didn't use our car at all after parking it for the duration of our stay. A parking shuttle service from the hotel would undoubtedly enhance the overall guest experience. ⭐⭐⭐⭐Overall, our stay was very positive. The convenient transportation options significantly enhanced our travel experience."

"Linda at the lounge was exceptionally warm and provided excellent service. In the evenings, she crafted special cocktails that were both visually appealing and delicious. Our room was upgraded upon check-in to a spacious one on the 25th (highest) floor, offering a fantastic view. Zora proactively contacted us by phone to inquire about our room preferences and even arranged a late checkout for us. The bedding was soft and clean, and the breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of dishes, including local specialties. The hotel's location is superb, surrounded by numerous dining options. The large Mixc City shopping mall is just a vibrant 5-minute walk away. For a city like Shantou, known for its relaxed pace, this hotel is an incredibly convenient choice for tourists."

"Still craving Shantou cuisine since last summer, this was my second stay at the Golden Gulf Hotel. Its location is superb, being close to the city center and just a 10-minute walk from Longyan South Road Snack Street, which is bustling with eateries. The hotel lobby is spacious and bright, and the front desk staff were very welcoming. Check-in was efficient and smooth. The rooms are spacious, elegantly and comfortably decorated. The bed was soft, the room was neat and clean, and came with all the necessary amenities. The hotel's fitness facilities are well-equipped, and there's also a heated swimming pool – perfect for working off all the delicious food after a culinary tour! I was delighted to meet 'Tuhao Ge' again; he was incredibly enthusiastic, recommending excellent dining spots and travel itineraries for the Chaoshan region. I'm truly thankful for the encounter! This time, I also had the opportunity to try the Chinese restaurant on the second floor. Every dish was freshly prepared by hand, making them healthy, fresh, and delicious. Overall, the Shantou Golden Gulf Hotel excels in its facilities, service quality, and location, making it an ideal choice for business or leisure travelers to Shantou. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit."

"The moment I opened the door, I heard the electronic lock emit a chord sound like a spring. The modern and simple design that came into view was in line with my aesthetics! The air was filled with the scent of wood! This artistic old money style homestay unfolded an immersive narrative about modern travel for me during my trip to Shantou in May. There was a former hotel concierge Golden Key in the store, who was very enthusiastic and provided very considerate service! He introduced all the delicious and fun places around! He also sent me an electronic map for me to browse! For me, a newbie in Shantou tourism, it was really practical! I overslept the next day, and the breakfast time of the homestay had already exceeded, but the beautiful girl at the front desk still asked the kitchen to prepare rice noodle soup for us! It was really considerate and warm! There was also a small gift (star towel) before leaving A very comfortable living experience! Looking forward to coming again next time! Facilities: very retro and tasteful! Hygiene: very clean and tidy"

"This designated five-star hotel is conveniently located very close to Shantou Station. Both the exterior and the lobby are quite grand, and the service is excellent. I even added a front desk staff member on WeChat, who proactively offered to arrange my drop-off at the station, which was very thoughtful. Upon entering the lobby, there was an unpleasant odor, which felt like a damp and musty smell from old carpets. I'd suggest they use an air freshener or air purifier in the lobby to alleviate this. While the room facilities were a bit dated, the cleanliness was decent. The gym and outdoor swimming pool looked quite appealing, and I'd be keen to try them out on a future stay."

"The location of the B&B is good, and it is convenient to go to the surrounding attractions. If you are tired of shopping, you can go back to the B&B to rest for a while and then go out to continue shopping! The decoration is also very unique, and many tourists come to the entrance of the B&B to check in and take pictures. The front desk lady is very nice and took the initiative to send cute toiletries to the children. The little brother is also very enthusiastic and personally took us to park. But it is close to the street, so it would be better to have noise-canceling earplugs."

"The hotel is an established five-star property that has recently been renovated, so the room facilities are still very good. Its location is also excellent, right next to MixC City and Longyan South Road Food Street, offering an incredible array of dining options – you'd never be able to try them all! There's a swimming pool on the rooftop of the annex building, which is independently operated. Access is typically limited to two people per room. Fortunately, the staff member in charge was very accommodating and kindly allowed our family of two adults and two children to enter for free!"

"The location is excellent, just a short walk away from Longyan South Road Food Street. The Mixc shopping mall is also conveniently located right behind the property. What truly impressed me was the abundance of thoughtfully placed power outlets in the room. It was incredibly easy to charge all my devices while relaxing, without any hassle or having to share. In this day and age, with how frequently we use electronic devices and the constant need for charging, this feature is a huge plus! While the room was compact, it was incredibly well-equipped, offering everything one could need. They even provided disposable face towels and a full set of toiletries, right down to disposable toilet seat covers, which was a very thoughtful touch."

A quick 10-minute taxi ride from the station brought me to this bamboo-themed Chao Hotel. The entire journey was incredibly smooth. As a photographer who travels frequently for work and loves to explore, I was genuinely impressed by the hotel's design aesthetics and meticulous attention to detail. 🏨 Design and Ambiance: The hotel masterfully integrates bamboo elements, from the lobby's bamboo art and the corridors' bamboo-patterned walls to the woven bamboo lampshades in the guest rooms. This creates a beautiful blend of Eastern Zen aesthetics and modern simplicity everywhere you look. The atmosphere is tranquil and elegant, perfect for unwinding, and it's incredibly photogenic. 📍 Prime Location: For tourists, the location couldn't be better! It's right next to Zhujiang Road Food Street, meaning authentic beef hotpot, kway teow (rice noodles), and local raw seafood dishes are just a few minutes' walk downstairs – perfect for late-night cravings. Major attractions like Xiao Park and the Old Town are also only about a 20-minute drive away, making it a one-stop hub for dining, entertainment, and sightseeing. 🛏️ Guest Rooms and Hygiene: The room was spacious and bright, with incredibly comfortable bedding and brand-new, complete facilities. What truly stood out was the impeccable cleanliness; I felt completely at ease walking barefoot on the floor. The wet/dry separation in the shower was also very well-done. The hotel offers unique activities: a Hong Tao Guo (a traditional sweet glutinous rice cake) demonstration at 8 PM, lasting about half an hour. Late-night snacks are served from 9:30 PM to 11 PM, including simple congee with side dishes, sweet soup, and kway teow soup. BBQ is available until 1 AM, and they even have regular Teochew Opera performances on weekends! 🌟 Overall Experience: The cleanliness of Shantou city truly exceeded my expectations, and the Chao Hotel undoubtedly enhanced my trip significantly. The staff were friendly and incredibly responsive. Whether you're traveling for business or leisure, this hotel offers exceptional value for money.
