If there was an award for the highest quality property and service for a B&B in the U.K. then Chine Side on the Isle of Wight would be a serious contender. Exceptional value for money and we offer it our highest possible recommendation if you’re staying on the IoW. Everything is top quality from the furnishings, the cleanliness and the service. Simply superb.

Chine Side is a real gem. A beautiful house with off-road parking and just a few yards from the old Shanklin village. Spotlessly clean, all the amenities and facilities of a boutique hotel, excellent hosts Ginny and John, breakfast was perfection and beautifully presented. Will recommend to friends and family and will definitely be returning.

Well sometimes the reviews seem to good to be true, but not in this case, host john was welcoming but not intrusive, rooms spotlessly clean and spacious, continental breakfast was fab different choices everyday, ie croissants, fruit toast, passion fruit yoghurts, 4 types cereal etc. Great location just 100m from old town and about 6 pubs and local restaurants, private secure driveway parking, lovely balcony if you want to use it and tv room, would definitely stay again and throughly recommend - thank you

Very Good location, couple of minutes walk from the centre of the Old village. Large comfortable room, spotlessly clean. Lovely sunny balcony overlooking the terraced garden to sit and have breakfast. Very friendly hosts. Continental breakfast offered good variety. Highly recommended.

We stayed at Chine Side for 3 nights over the jubilee weekend. The location of the guest house is absolutely fantastic, one minute walk to the old town which is quaint and full of pubs, shops and restaurants. It’s about a 15 minute walk down to the seafront which again has lots of bars and places to eat. It’s about 15 min drive from Vetnor which was also a lovely place to visit. We loved the guesthouse, it was very welcoming and the host let us check in early which was really appreciated! The room smelt beautiful- we would like to have recreated the scent and calmness of the room at home! Lovely, comfortable bed and the duvet and pillows made for a very good nights sleep. We didn’t have the breakfast as my husband doesn’t tend to eat breakfast but can confirm the set up looked lovely and selection also looked plentiful. There are lots of little touches like beach towels, good array of tea and coffee in the room even decaf tea for me (which is a rare find!) We hope to return for another visit, we really had a great stay, thank you!

As many have already said its very comfortable and extremely clean and tidy, we enjoyed the breakfast and it being continental was fine for us. Great location and the hosts are friendly but not intrusive , well worth a visit.
