Shangri-La is located in the northwestern part of Yunnan Province, China. This area is at a higher altitude, with an average elevation of about 3,300 meters. Shangri-La is a name full of mystery, which not only represents a real place but also symbolizes an ideal utopia. The white space is like a treasure of Ritz-Carlton, quietly blooming at the north gate of the ancient city of Duichuang, which is one of the best-preserved ancient cities in China. The white space is only 10 minutes away from the high-speed railway station and airport, 20 minutes away from Napa Haiyi grassland by car, and 15 minutes away from Songzanlin Temple by car. Free parking is available at the door. It is convenient for travel. It carries all our burning dreams in Shangri-La. We have 23 rooms, including king-size beds, double beds, family suites, duplex suites, and so on, to meet the accommodation needs of different groups of customers. In the white space, it is your rest area in a foreign land, which can help you unload all the fatigue in the city.

The hotel features floor heating and oxygen machine. The staff were incredibly friendly, helping carry our luggage both upon arrival and departure. They also offer a pick-up service, as the hotel vehicle wasn’t available at the time, they arranged a free taxi for us when we were leaving. Additionally, they provided welcome fruits and free drinks in the room. The location is also great, within walking distance to the North Gate of Dukezong Ancient City.

The temperature goes down to -10 at night but you can hardly feel it while inside the rooms. Their insulation is very good and the room feels warm everyday even without floor heating. Only downside was the low ceiling which we were not warned about. Hence, be extra careful when walking around in the room.
The hosts are very helpful and would fetch/send us with the luggages to the North Gate. It’s within 5-10 mins walk to 四方街 and the 转经筒. Beautiful view of the whole 古城, which also means that it’s an upslope walk back to the accommodation. The dryer will be turned off between 11pm-930am everyday, but the hosts will kindly help you with your laundry if you ask!

The bathroom is spacious, but there are disadvantages. The tile floor is very slippery. The shower and toilet spots are close to each other. The bathroom floor is not made in two levels to prevent wet floors from coming out of the shower area.
The environment around the hotel is very good. Finding food to eat in the morning is close to the hotel. Walk to the ancient city for about 1 km. Enough to exercise.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. Hotel staff are really friendly and welcoming, when we arrived at 9pm. Upon check in, we were served with hot towels and some pastry. We were escort to our room (welcome fruit and dessert). Overall, great experience and will definitely come back again.

Amazing hospitality by the staff at the hotel. Prior to arrival and throughout the stay, we are in contact with the staff via WeChat who provided helpful contacts, information and support.
As we had to leave the hotel early after our first night for the Abujicuo hike, the hotel had kindly prepared early breakfast (before 7.30am) for us to takeaway. This includes fruits, milk and bread. Otherwise, the breakfast option (Chinese, continental etc.) will be decided the night before to consume at the breakfast area.
As for the room, it has a very modern and luxurious concept to it as seen in photos. The hotel also provides a variety of shower shampoo, body soap and body lotion to choose from (Balmain & others) during check-in.
Lastly, we appreciate that the hotel has self-service washing machine/dryer on the rooftop for us to wash clothes after our hikes.

The accommodation was easily the best one we've stayed in. The staff's service was impeccable. Not only do they provide breakfast and supper, they also provided laundry and transfer services as well. The room was excellent - spacious yet cozy with a romantic view overlooking the meadows that makes us regret staying for just a single night. The stay is located in a peaceful and open space, just 20 minutes away from the Shangri-La train station, near Lake Napahai. We are surrounded by majestic mountains and expansive fields, with fresh air and a clear blue sky. The room is equipped with an oxygen supply and heated floors, making it incredibly comfortable.
We enjoyed a delicious 牦牛 hotpot, which was absolutely delightful, especially with its flavorful soup base. We had hoped to see a galaxy of stars, but unfortunately, the sky was cloudy. Later in the evening, we ordered instant noodles and beer from Meituan. The delivery was impressively on time, despite the distance.
This is the kind of trip I enjoy—away from the crowds, quiet, and peaceful, with the refreshing embrace of nature.

This hotel truly exceeded all our expectations! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by its cleanliness and the warm, friendly atmosphere created by the staff. The service is nothing short of excellent—they even offer complimentary pick-up and drop-off to the train station, which made our journey so much easier.
The hotel provides everything you need for a comfortable and luxurious stay. The room is spacious, with a big TV screen and a cozy sofa for relaxation. The thoughtful amenities include a heated floor and bed, which were perfect for the cold weather. Even the toilet seat has a heater and a bidet, making it incredibly convenient and comfortable. They also provide additional oxygen in the room—a great touch, especially for those who might feel the effects of high altitude.
The views from the hotel are absolutely breathtaking! Imagine waking up to stunning mountain scenery, lush green grasslands, and sheep grazing peacefully—it’s like a dream come true. To make our stay even more special, they upgraded our room for free to one with a luxurious bathtub!
For Muslim travelers, this hotel is incredibly accommodating—they provided us with a delicious vegetarian breakfast, so we felt completely at ease. However, please be mindful when sitting on the sofas as their adorable, friendly dog loves to sit there too and might come to greet you. Their dog is super cute and playful, adding a warm and homey touch to the stay!
One of the most delightful surprises was that the hotel provides traditional Chinese costumes for free! We had so much fun dressing up and taking beautiful photos. It made us feel like royalty from an ancient Chinese dynasty—truly a unique and unforgettable experience.
Despite the language barrier, the staff were incredibly helpful in accommodating our needs. They went above and beyond to assist us, offering suggestions, pinpointing locations, and ensuring we had everything we needed. A big thumbs up to the staff member whose picture I shared (unfortunately, I forgot to ask her name). The hotel owner should truly give her credit for her exceptional service—it made our stay even more memorable!
This hotel is located near the stunning Napahai Lake, not Dukezong Ancient City. If you’re planning to stay close to Dukezong, this might not be the best choice. But trust me, you don’t need to stay near Dukezong—this hotel is so good, it’s worth being a little further away. The peaceful surroundings, incredible service, and top-notch amenities make it more than worth it!
Another fantastic perk is the nearby e-bike rental. We rented bikes and had an amazing time exploring the beautiful Napahai area and enjoying the serene countryside.
I highly recommend this hotel, especially for travelers from Malaysia. It’s the perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and hospitality. Trust me, you won’t regret staying here—it’s a memory you’ll cherish forever!

Then when we left, the boss got up at 6 o'clock in the morning to take us to the high-speed rail station. When we arrived at 11 o'clock in the evening, the boss helped us get in touch with us to take a ride to the Meili Snow Mountain to see the Rizhao Jinshan Mountain. We arrived at the B&B and drank fruit and butter tea! The sanitary environment is very good! The equipment is all brand new and said to be newly opened this year! Highly recommend everyone to stay here

I have stayed in several internet-famous homestays in Napahai, and the feeling that Shanshui Realm gave me surpassed other internet-famous homestays. First of all, it is very cost-effective. The hardware facilities are very complete, smart and thoughtful, from small things like face towels, brown sugar ginger tea, etc. Even the slippers are thick-soled and soft. The projector, humidifier, and bedding of Xgimi are very good. I slept the most comfortable sleep in these few days of travel. The decoration style is Nordic and minimalist. Outside the window of the room I booked is a grassland and grazing cows. In the distance, you can see snow-capped mountains, which are pleasing to the eye every moment; secondly, the service is particularly good, basically from check-in to check-out, they are responsive, and they also provide tour routes and suggestions. The fruit snacks are delicious, and the two cute dogs Yuanbao and Shiliu are very friendly. It’s a pity that I couldn’t stay for a few more days due to the itinerary. GGuest UserFeifan Hotel is conveniently located in Shangri La Old Town (Dukezong) and is fully accessible by car/taxi, which can drop you off right in front of the hotel. The hotel is tastefully decorated, paying homage to the town's Tibetan's roots, which is what makes the hotel very charming to me. The room itself is very clean comfortable to stay in, the amenities and kits provided are more than plentiful. The floors in front of the bathroom are also heated, which is very surprising (I wasn't expecting that). The loveliest aspect of my stay would have to be the kind hotel staff who were very helpful and welcoming to us starting from our arrival (the cups of warm tea was very relieving during the cold night). A couple of hotel staff members can converse in English, which was very helpful for us as we are foreign tourists. I appreciated the conversations I had with a staff member during breakfast about the various foods that was on offer. I also appreciated the little gift that was given to us when we checked out as the hotel staff seemed to notice that I did enjoyed several cups of butter tea during my breakfast and the help with arranging a car to transport us to the train station. Overall, I am very impressed with our stay here and would not hesitate at all to recommend anyone to stay here. It is worth it!

GGuest UserThis trip to Tiger Leaping Gorge is very worthwhile. The happiest and happiest thing is to meet Tingtao Yage. There were many children staying that day. Our children had a lot of fun and were super happy. They didn't want to leave. The daughter of the owner of Tingtao Yage is only eight years old. She is super capable. She serves tea and water to guests and looks like an adult. I must give her a thumbs up. Their service is really great. They took the initiative to call us, carefully explained the precautions, added WeChat, and informed us of the road conditions in time. It was no problem to drive slowly on the rural road that was a few hundred meters into the village. The room was very clean, the quilt was dry, and I slept very comfortably. You can eat the fruits on the trees at will. They are a super generous family. If I have time in the future, I will definitely come here and stay for a few months.

The rooms are spacious, immaculately clean, and thoughtfully designed with authentic ******* touches that give the space a unique character. The views from the room were breathtaking, offering a panoramic scene of the surrounding mountains and ancient architecture. It was an absolute treat to wake up to such natural beauty every morning.
What sets Lanyun Inn apart, however, is the personal attention to detail and the impeccable service. The staff went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable. They were always ready to offer recommendations on the best local spots to visit, ensuring that I experienced the true essence of Shangri-La.
The location of the inn is another big plus—just a short walk from the charming old town, yet far enough to enjoy the peace and quiet of the area. This balance made it the perfect base for exploring both the historical and natural wonders of the region.
The breakfast was another highlight. Every morning, I was treated to a delicious spread of local and international favorites, prepared with fresh ingredients and served in a cozy, inviting setting.

AAngService was very warm as we reached late at night and the owner welcomed us with warm stove and some dinner, warm water and snacks. Take note to notify the owner early to assist with bringing your luggage in/out by a small electric vehicle.
Room was clean, very spacious with humidifier. Toilet has curtains as doors. Nice view of the city from the windows. We went in May and can get cold. The bed had an electric warmer.

NNanaInChinaAbsolutely IN LOVE with this guesthouse and the owners. The whole family will take care of you. They pick you up from Tina's and help you book the bus back if you need to. The son cooks the most amazing food (I think it was the best egg and tomato I've had in my 7 years in China) and the parents love to get to know you and help you with anything you might need. They are always on the move to make their guests feel comfortable. The owner always gave us fruit and other snacks and they also have some good beer choice.
The views from the room were wonderful. I would absolutely go back if I had the chance.

For me, the most special thing about this inn compared to other inns is that I am no longer a stranger in it. When there is no itinerary to go out to play, I can go to the living room of the inn to eat and drink coffee. You can go to the top floor to see the scenery, swing, belong to me is a room, I have too many things to do, for me, this inn has become a attraction in my trip.
While staying in the living room, occasionally meet other tenants. We will chat together, tell the stories of our respective trips, share and share travel experiences. If we meet tenants who can chat, we will even talk about the things that people around us can't tell in their respective cities. At this moment, this trip is no longer like the past, it is a short period of time, and will eventually leave no trace of the past. Because my friend came to Shangri-La later than I, but this inn had no free room when my friend came, so I changed to another inn later, but I couldn't experience this ”fireworks” here, in the later inn, If there is no trip out, then there is a small room for me. So the feeling I experienced in this inn is a very important and beautiful memory in this trip.
Apart from the above, there are other surprises that this inn brings me. No animal lover will like the furry cats to approach. The cats raised in this inn are very close to each other. I just sat on the sofa and the cat was destined to be close to me and let me touch their soft hair at will. The proprietress is very measured. The cats are raised in a specific place and will never let them enter the tenants' room.
The inn has become a attraction in my travel memory, and I have hardly written such a large text to describe an inn rather than a tourist attraction, which is enough to confirm my miss.
