I went to Dali and Kunming. Our favorite place in Dali is Shangri-La. This warm little B&B really makes us feel at home and at ease🥹🥹. No matter how late you come back from playing, you can basically see the boss sitting at the front desk or leaving a small light on. Every morning when you wake up, there are always people chatting at the tea table in the lobby, not to mention the thoughtful reminders every day, the various free local fruits, and the super complete treasure box at the front desk (cotton swabs, ginger tea, hot packs) 😭. Besides, the equipment in various rooms is clean, complete and aesthetically pleasing. If you are worried about altitude sickness, feel free to choose. We have prepared everything that can be prevented in advance. That’s right! The location is excellent, and it's about a 7-minute walk to Dukezong Ancient Town. When we went there in mid-January, we could see snow every day when we opened the door! This is really a blessing for us Cantonese people! When chatting with the boss and the boss's wife, I learned that the boss came here to open a B&B after working in Hangzhou for several years. Maybe only those who are office workers can best understand what working people want🙃🙃. I really recommend it with full marks. Thank you very much and I love this Shangri-La. This homestay is the best! Very recommended 👌🏻 the host is very accommodating. The location is just perfect. It’s near to everything. There’s bed warmer and floor heater and the toilet comes with automatic bidet. There’s washing machine and even extra jackets that can be borrowed from the hotel as we undermine the cold in Shangrila the puffer jacket we borrowed really help us a lot with the cold. There’s pickup and dropoff service for free to and fro the Railway Station. The room that we book is really nice and the view is also nice. Please stay here if you come to Shangrila. You won’t regret it.

The location is good, however it can be a bit noisy due to the opposite cafe shop. Overall it is clean. The plug position is just right situated on where we put our pillow to sleep. You will need to use this plug in order to enable the bed warmer. So the location is weird as your head tend to knock on the plug. And if you use it to charge your phone, it will be a bit not safe. Toilet floor can be very slippery so please be careful.
