GGuest UserThe best decision I made in Shangri-La was choosing this guesthouse; it single-handedly made my entire high-altitude trip enjoyable! The location is superb, just a few minutes' walk from Dukezong Ancient Town's Moonlight Square and the Giant Prayer Wheel. It’s wonderfully quiet yet centrally located, perfect for exploring and dining out, then returning to a peaceful retreat. The room was spotlessly clean, the bedding was soft, and the bathroom had a great wet/dry separation. Most importantly, it came with an individual oxygen concentrator, which meant I wasn't worried about altitude sickness at all on my first high-altitude trip, and I slept incredibly soundly. The owner is super enthusiastic, offering free airport transfers both ways. The breakfast was varied, with delicious Yunnan rice noodles, and the service was attentive yet unobtrusive. Any requests were handled super quickly. It offers an immersive ******* living experience while still providing modern comforts. Next time I'm in Shangri-La, I'll definitely stay here again. I genuinely recommend it to anyone visiting Diqing!

A five-star experience with a price of 100 yuan, the location is very good to find, you can take a taxi to the door, a few hundred meters away from where you are, the room is smart, the humidifier floor heating oxygen generator... also provides clean down jackets, even the mask boss is prepared, it can be seen that the boss is a delicate person
The first day I arrived, I was very helpless. Sister Zhuoma immediately brought the oxygen tube and rehydration to open the oxygen for me. Every time I met, I cared about me better. Let me be my own home. It’s just that, Sister Zhuoma really treats every guest with care. Maybe it’s just a water encounter. But let me be alone in my hometown, I am very warm, the most correct decision to come to Shangri-La is to stay in this store!
By the way, Sister Zhuoma's own restaurant is downstairs. It is super delicious. It is the best meal I have eaten these days.
Tashi Delek, I wish Sister Zhuoma and her family business is as red as the sun on the plateau, and the body is as strong as the green pine!

GGuest UserI did a lot of research before booking in Shangri-La. Initially, I chose this place because it was close to the attractions, but after experiencing the stay, both my boyfriend and I were really pleased with our choice!
The proprietress is very thoughtful. The room came with disposable toiletries, towels, and a personal care kit. They also provided oxygen and a humidifier, which made sleeping very comfortable, and we didn't experience any discomfort (like altitude sickness) when we woke up.
When I was booking the hotel, I specifically mentioned to the owner that I wanted to buy a small cake. (Because I was new to the area and didn't know where to order one, I bothered the owner about it.) Although the proprietress couldn't reach me, she still ordered a cake for me! She called it a 'small cake,' but it was actually a 6-inch cake! Haha, I was so happy! In the end, the proprietress wouldn't even let me pay for it, insisting it was her treat. What a generous lady! ❤︎ I’m so grateful to you, proprietress, for making sure my birthday had the sense of occasion I wanted! Love you! (ﾉ∇︎〃 )
Although I only stayed at this guesthouse for two days, the proprietress's service included arranging transfers. (When you arrive, she picks you up, and when you're leaving, whether it's for the high-speed rail station or elsewhere, they can drop you off!) It was super convenient! Plus, the proprietress asked for our high-speed rail schedule and advised us on the best departure time to ensure better time management.
I also had a great impression of the driver who picked us up. On this trip, I stayed at several different hotels and guesthouses. Some of the drivers were late, and some even smoked in the car, which was unpleasant for us non-smokers. But this driver who picked us up was excellent! There were no issues like that, and he even proactively helped us with our luggage and carried it up the stairs (thank you for your hard work!).
And there's breakfast every day! They serve rice noodles, congee, corn, dumplings, and more. I thought the rice noodles were delicious, and the stir-fried vegetables really suited my taste! The guesthouse breakfast at the proprietress's place was so good! (づ￣3￣)づ And on cold days, the hot milk was delicious. When it cooled down a bit, a milk skin would form on top!
Another convenient point is that you can rent a scooter at the guesthouse (and no deposit is required!). It costs 60 RMB for a whole day (if I remember correctly), allowing you to ride from morning till night. It’s perfect for travelers like us who want to explore. Plus, it's only a 10-minute scooter ride to Dukezong Ancient City and the Giant Prayer Wheel at Dafo Temple! You can also walk there—I tried it, and it took about 18 minutes, hehe.
It was my first time in Shangri-La, but from the moment I arrived at this guesthouse, my positive impression kept growing! A large part of it is due to the proprietress's warmth and attentiveness. My admiration for her is maxed out! (｡･ω･｡)ﾉ♡ When I returned, I recommended it to everyone (writing blogs and WeChat posts about my life), telling them that if they go to Shangri-La, they must book their accommodation here! Next time, if I get the chance to visit in colder weather and experience Shangri-La in winter, I will definitely book my stay with the proprietress again! (⑅˃◡˂⑅)

The room was spacious and bright. Breakfast is ample. They also provide self serve fruits and snacks at the lobby. About 10 minutes stroll to the busier part of town. About 13 minutes stroll to east gate carpark to take the direct bus to key scenic sights. Overall, highly recommend a stay!

BbobqianThis hotel was the highlight of our Shangri-La trip, making up for the bad mood caused by the rainy weather. The location is excellent – just outside the East Gate, next to the People's Court and opposite a hospital, which is where the shuttle buses depart for all the attractions. Everything is very close by, which is great. There are also many restaurants in the surrounding area, and parking is free.
The hotel facilities are on par with those of well-known budget chain hotels. The oxygen supply is excellent and ample, and for extended stays, the hotel even provides nasal cannulas.
The service is truly outstanding, from Mr. Yixi who picked us up at the station, to the front desk staff, and the breakfast service team – everyone was incredibly thoughtful. They really go above and beyond to anticipate and fulfill guests' needs, as if they’re constantly worried about guests being unhappy. We were concerned about altitude sickness, and Mr. Yixi shared tips from locals, so we went to the pharmacy and bought some oral solution. We hiked 6 kilometers in Pudacuo without needing a single breath of oxygen. The breakfast was quite rich, comparable to some other popular chains.
They even gave us a small gift when we checked out, which was a lovely touch.

GGuest UserHad a fantastic day at this hotel, and the overall experience far exceeded my expectations. First off, the location is incredibly convenient. I didn't need to transfer buses or trains to get to tourist attractions or shopping districts, and there was always a concierge at the hotel entrance to help call a taxi. The lobby is designed with great style, and the subtle fragrance was very pleasant.
The room was more spacious than I imagined, and the bedding was super comfortable. There was even a pillow menu to choose from! As someone who usually struggles to sleep in new places, I actually fell asleep instantly. The cleanliness details were impeccable; even the shower glass was spotless. Each night during turn-down service, they delivered a small dessert.
The breakfast was incredibly rich, with both Chinese and Western options. I especially recommend the freshly made rice noodles – they were truly authentic. The afternoon tea at the executive lounge offered a spectacular view.
Staying here, it felt like more than just a hotel; it was an authentic experience of Yunnan life. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kunming!

GGuest UserSo comfortable! The room was incredibly spacious, super quiet, clean, and hygienic. You could even see stars at night. Every day, I just wanted to get back to the hotel early to relax. My partner and I would sit in the hotel, drinking tea, and we'd even be greeted by cute dogs! They'd take us to breakfast every morning, which was very rich and varied. The owner was exceptionally kind.

The guesthouse itself is stunning, with thoughtful decor that's perfect for photos. It's quiet, comfortable, and a joy to stay in.
What truly impressed me were the owners; they are incredibly kind, warm, attentive, and meticulous. It felt just like staying with friends.
The breakfast was also super delicious, clean, and plentiful – truly homemade taste.
If you're visiting Haba Village or traveling the Shangri-La loop, this place is a no-brainer. Highly recommend!

GGuest UserThis hotel is absolutely fantastic! The customer service attendant added me on WeChat in advance and showed incredible care throughout my stay. As soon as we arrived, she greeted us with delicious shortbread cookies and helped us book dinner. In the evening, she proactively offered laundry service, and even provided nasal oxygen when my family suffered from altitude sickness. The next day, she assisted with a late check-out and arranged a car to take us to the old town. Even though she was constantly busy, she was always responsive, friendly, and patient.
The room was beautiful and tidy, bright and spacious, with complete amenities. My family wasn't very satisfied with our previous night's stay in Lijiang, so they were instantly amazed and happy when we entered this room. The toilet and bathroom were very clean, with two sinks. The shower pressure wasn't very strong, but we didn't dare wash our hair anyway, so it wasn't an issue. It was very quiet at night, and despite being on the first floor, it wasn't noisy at all.
For dinner, we had the beef hotpot. There was plenty of beef, though the flavor was a bit mild, but it was convenient and hygienic. For those who prefer stronger flavors, you can also order takeout to eat in the restaurant. Breakfast was plentiful, and the yogurt and toast were delicious. The view from the rooftop was particularly stunning, and eating at the bar there was a real pleasure.
The hotel is right next to Songzanlin Monastery. In the evening, you can stroll by the lake and watch the sunset, and it's also very close to Songzanlin Monastery during the day, with no stairs to climb! In short, I highly recommend this place to anyone planning to visit Songzanlin Monastery!
