Shangri-La Yunbian View Homestay (located in Dukezong Ancient Town) is up one of the street, offering close proximity to 四方街, where there are nightly traditional dance going on while not getting any of the noise. The room is clean, spacious and cozy with thoughtful amenities - equipped with heated floors, humidifier and oxygen generator with single-used tube to treat altitude sickness. A highlight (and life-saver) was the pick-up and drop off service from /to any point in the Dukezong Ancient Town with the 3 wheelers mini 'truck' —saving us from the struggle of dragging suitcases uphill over cobblestone streets (ki-clogging our way through). We got to ride on the back on of the truck with out luggage during pick up. The owners were helpful and responsive, making our stay smooth and enjoyable. Call the property to inform of your arrival and ask for most convenient pick up location. We extended our stay and had the opportunity to stay in 2 different room types. both rooms offered the panoramic views of the town and surrounding mountains. The family room featured two separate bedrooms - one with a king bed and the other with 2 super-twin beds, each room has own vanity top, ensuite shower and a separate toilet. The twin room had two super single beds, a bathtub, a separate shower room and toilet, and a spacious vanity area. The homestay itself is bright and welcoming, with a lovely central sitting area, making it a great place to relax after exploring Shangri-La. Highly recommended for comfort, convenience, and warm hospitality!

Just a short walk away from a halal hotpot restaurant (few shops away) and other local eateries. Perfect spot to explore Shangri-La! Always Ready to Help (Even with Translation!): Even with language differences, the staff was super responsive on WeChat and helped with all our questions using translation. The place was a few hundred meters from the old town. The 民宿 owners were extremely hospitable and friendly. First they came to pick us up from the station, upon arrival, as our room was on the 3rd floor, they carried our luggage all the way up for us. The room was spacious, clean and all amenities provided for. The room came with oxygen supply, heated floor and sky roof where we could glance out to see the stars. They advised us on all the do and don't when in high altitude places. When we came back freezing cold at night, they even brought up hot milk to help warm us up. Overall, we had a very good stay here. We would stay here again if we ever come back to Shangri-la.

I had an incredible stay at this hotel in Shangri-La. The owner is exceptionally helpful, kind-hearted, and considerate. He personally picked us up and dropped us off at the train station, which made our journey so much easier. He even helped carry our luggage up to the third floor and ensured everything was taken care of. The room was very nice, tidy, and spotless. He also upgraded us to a bigger room, which was a wonderful surprise. The location is excellent, with the ancient old town and key attractions within walking distance. The Tesco Hotel is located in a convenient location, it is only 3 minutes away from the center of the ancient city. The main part of the B & B is a steel-mixed-earth structure to avoid the sound insulation of the traditional wood structure. Design philosophy is open, innovative, humane and functional, with emphasis on the functioning and spatial organization of the various areas and on the formal beauty of the structure itself. The design is simple and generous, and the space is clean and transparent. The room heating facilities are all water-heating. It is most suitable during the dry season of Shangri-La. There are rest, tea and recreational facilities in the public areas.
