The white space is only 10 minutes away from the high-speed railway station and airport, 20 minutes away from Napa Haiyi grassland by car, and 15 minutes away from Songzanlin Temple by car. Free parking is available at the door. It is convenient for travel. It carries all our burning dreams in Shangri-La. We have 23 rooms, including king-size beds, double beds, family suites, duplex suites, and so on, to meet the accommodation needs of different groups of customers. In the white space, it is your rest area in a foreign land, which can help you unload all the fatigue in the city.

The size of the room was crazy, and super clean, with floor heating, humidifier and oxygen machine, very friendly to the ones who suffer from altitude sickness (luckily both of us were tough enough) and the staff of the hotel might be the most warm-hearted and friendly hotel staff I’ve ever seen. If you have Wechat they will add you into a service group and you can ask for help or services there, very convenient. And it is also super close to the ancient city, 5mins walk. 10/10, will definitely recommend to family and friends.

One of the best homestay we stayed at across the different cities in Yunnan. They provide all sorts of amenities such as oxygen and humidifier machine in the room to help reduce the symptoms of high altitude. The boss and lady boss are super friendly and hospitable. Location wise is ideal as it is within the old town. You can contact the boss via WeChat before arrival to help bring your luggage up from the North gate as there is some slope. We also booked our Tu Si Yan via them. Beautiful view at night but it was snowing when we went. Will definitely stay here again if I’m back.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this charming hotel located right in the heart of the ancient town. The location is unbeatable, with everything within walking distance, making it the perfect base for exploring the area.
What truly made our stay exceptional was the incredible hospitality of the owner family. From the moment we arrived, they welcomed us with such warmth and kindness that we immediately felt at home. They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, even helping us with our heavy luggages.
One of the highlights of our trip was when they personally drove us around the city! As a group of five, we struggled to find a taxi big enough to accommodate us, but the owners stepped in and made sure we didn’t miss out on seeing the best parts of the city.
They also gave us fantastic recommendations, including a fun and engaging cultural show that we thoroughly enjoyed, as well as some amazing local restaurants that we wouldn’t have found on our own.
The owner family’s warmth and genuine care for their guests truly set this hotel apart. If I could give them ten stars, I absolutely would—they deserve every single one! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable and heartwarming stay. We can’t wait to come back!

Cleanliness is honestly so-so. Found used/opened disposable shampoo packets in bathroom when arrived. The in-room hot water dispenser is a small-sized mobile unit that connects directly to a small mineral water bottle - not easy to use plus it discharges some greenish fluid while trying out. The multi-level building has no lift so large heavy luggage is challenging (credit to the staff who would help to carry it up for you), but climbing up/down not easy for old people. Getting the right temperature in the bathroom is challenging too, it's often too hot or too cold, and hard to adjust in between. The hotel allowed smoking in indoor public areas, resulting in the whole building soaked in second hand smoke. This is unfortunately the biggest put off that spoils everything else that could have made it a reasonable stay. Overall, I would say the stay had been below our expectations.

I had a great stay at this hotel! The design was very appealing and modern. The owner was incredibly helpful and made sure I had everything I needed. I also appreciated the option to rent a motorbike at a very reasonable price. The location is perfect, with easy access to halal food nearby. Highly recommend! The room was very clean & have washing machine to wash your cloth.

The hotel was great, the hospitality given was great, and they'll answer every question you have.
I was served with a welcoming drink. A Chinese herb drink and with a kind of yogurt in the night.
The room was equipped with smart room control with voice activation. Need to use Google translate voice to turn on/off lights, curtains, air conditioning, and so on.
The towel however was a very thin piece of towel, better bring your own.

And we definitely grateful with the decision that we made. The whole place is so beautiful and charming. We are greeted with warm tea, and then with complimentary afternoon coffee and cakes. Their coffee and cake are very delicious 🤤 We also get to experience wearing the ******* clothing and free photography session. As we are muslims, we need to pray for zuhur prayer. But the check out time is before zuhur time. The staff gave us a room to pray after we check out and we really appreciate their kind gesture. The staff also gave us free rides to halal restaurants and train station. We recommend people to stay here at least once, you will not regret it 🩷

This place is amazing and is a dream for animal and nature lovers. You get to be near the animals and they would also go up to you as they are not afraid of strangers.
From the moment we arrived at the accommodation, we were greeted by the staff who were all very kind and friendly. We woke up with a headache on one day and the staff very kindly went out to buy medicine for us. They also helped us to arrange transportation to and fro places and helped us to book our train tickets as well.
As Shangri-La was our first stop in Yunnan, the air in the room felt quite dry and stale and we had some difficulty adjusting. However, the service provided by the staff made up for everything and we were very satisfied with our stay. We will definitely miss this accommodation! ❤️

This hotel truly exceeded all our expectations! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by its cleanliness and the warm, friendly atmosphere created by the staff. The service is nothing short of excellent—they even offer complimentary pick-up and drop-off to the train station, which made our journey so much easier.
The hotel provides everything you need for a comfortable and luxurious stay. The room is spacious, with a big TV screen and a cozy sofa for relaxation. The thoughtful amenities include a heated floor and bed, which were perfect for the cold weather. Even the toilet seat has a heater and a bidet, making it incredibly convenient and comfortable. They also provide additional oxygen in the room—a great touch, especially for those who might feel the effects of high altitude.
The views from the hotel are absolutely breathtaking! Imagine waking up to stunning mountain scenery, lush green grasslands, and sheep grazing peacefully—it’s like a dream come true. To make our stay even more special, they upgraded our room for free to one with a luxurious bathtub!
For Muslim travelers, this hotel is incredibly accommodating—they provided us with a delicious vegetarian breakfast, so we felt completely at ease. However, please be mindful when sitting on the sofas as their adorable, friendly dog loves to sit there too and might come to greet you. Their dog is super cute and playful, adding a warm and homey touch to the stay!
One of the most delightful surprises was that the hotel provides traditional Chinese costumes for free! We had so much fun dressing up and taking beautiful photos. It made us feel like royalty from an ancient Chinese dynasty—truly a unique and unforgettable experience.
Despite the language barrier, the staff were incredibly helpful in accommodating our needs. They went above and beyond to assist us, offering suggestions, pinpointing locations, and ensuring we had everything we needed. A big thumbs up to the staff member whose picture I shared (unfortunately, I forgot to ask her name). The hotel owner should truly give her credit for her exceptional service—it made our stay even more memorable!
This hotel is located near the stunning Napahai Lake, not Dukezong Ancient City. If you’re planning to stay close to Dukezong, this might not be the best choice. But trust me, you don’t need to stay near Dukezong—this hotel is so good, it’s worth being a little further away. The peaceful surroundings, incredible service, and top-notch amenities make it more than worth it!
Another fantastic perk is the nearby e-bike rental. We rented bikes and had an amazing time exploring the beautiful Napahai area and enjoying the serene countryside.
I highly recommend this hotel, especially for travelers from Malaysia. It’s the perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and hospitality. Trust me, you won’t regret staying here—it’s a memory you’ll cherish forever!

From the moment we booked, the host was extremely responsive, keeping in touch with us for three weeks before our trip. They provided useful tips, such as bringing heavy clothes due to the cold and snow, which helped us a lot in preparing for our visit.
One of the best things about this homestay was the hospitality. The host picked us up and dropped us off at the train station for free of charge, making our arrival and departure hassle-free. They also went the extra mile by lending us winter jackets at no cost, which was a thoughtful gesture. Additionally, they arranged a driver for us to visit the places we wanted to explore, making our trip smooth and enjoyable.
The homestay itself was fantastic—spacious, exactly as shown in the pictures, and equipped with complete amenities. It truly felt like a home away from home. The bed was very comfortable, and we appreciated the hot blankets and oxygen supply, which were essential due to Shangri-La’s high altitude. The homestay also had a modern design while being located in the heart of the ancient town, offering easy access to everything.
Beyond the comfortable stay, the host’s kindness and guidance made our experience even better. They recommended great places to visit and local restaurants to try, ensuring we had a memorable trip.

GGuest UserIt was already 8 o'clock in the evening when I took my father and daughter from Lijiang to Shangri-La. The boss was very enthusiastic and drove a business car to pick us up. When we checked in, he told us how to prevent altitude sickness. The room was also equipped with an oxygen concentrator, which was very thoughtful. The house was clean and had a sense of design. The boss and his family were very nice. When we returned, they took the trouble to send us to the high-speed rail station. If I have the chance to come again next time, I will stay at this hotel again.

XXiaoguixifeifeiThe owner of the inn is very kind. He even came to pick me and my friend up at the high-speed rail station when we arrived at 11pm! Then when we left, the boss got up at 6 o'clock in the morning to take us to the high-speed rail station. When we arrived at 11 o'clock in the evening, the boss helped us get in touch with us to take a ride to the Meili Snow Mountain to see the Rizhao Jinshan Mountain. We arrived at the B&B and drank fruit and butter tea! The sanitary environment is very good! The equipment is all brand new and said to be newly opened this year! Highly recommend everyone to stay here

I recently had the pleasure of staying at ”Under the East Fence of Shangri-La Napahai Nature Reserve,” and I cannot recommend this place enough! From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and cared for by the host, Guozi, who is one of the kindest and most thoughtful people I’ve ever met.
Guozi went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. She upgraded me to a larger room than what I had booked, which was such a lovely surprise. The room itself was very cool — equipped with all the latest Chinese technology, including automated curtains, voice-controlled lighting, TV projector, screen, and a music system. The heated floors were an absolute treat, especially in the chilly Shangri-La weather.
The view from the room was simply breathtaking, with a full window wall overlooking the stunning landscape of the Napahai Nature Reserve. Waking up to such a view was an unforgettable experience.
Guozi’s hospitality didn’t stop there—she even made tea for me, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere. The dinner is simple and delicious. Great coffee and Chinese breakfast in the morning. On the day of my departure, her husband kindly drove me to the railway station, which was incredibly helpful and saved me a lot of stress.
Another highlight of my stay was meeting Hong Gongzi (The Red Prince), their adorable and majestic Alaskan Malamute. He’s a huge, fluffy, and gentle giant who added so much joy to my visit. If you’re a dog lover, you’ll absolutely adore him!
The location itself is stunning, nestled near the Napahai Nature Reserve, offering breathtaking views and a peaceful environment. It’s the perfect place to unwind and connect with nature. It is located well away from town.
Overall, my experience at this home stay was exceptional, thanks to Guozi’s warmth, the luxurious and tech-savvy accommodations, and the charming company of Hong Gongzi. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Shangri-La and hope to return one day!

GGuest UserFeifan Hotel is conveniently located in Shangri La Old Town (Dukezong) and is fully accessible by car/taxi, which can drop you off right in front of the hotel. The hotel is tastefully decorated, paying homage to the town's Tibetan's roots, which is what makes the hotel very charming to me. The room itself is very clean comfortable to stay in, the amenities and kits provided are more than plentiful. The floors in front of the bathroom are also heated, which is very surprising (I wasn't expecting that). The loveliest aspect of my stay would have to be the kind hotel staff who were very helpful and welcoming to us starting from our arrival (the cups of warm tea was very relieving during the cold night). A couple of hotel staff members can converse in English, which was very helpful for us as we are foreign tourists. I appreciated the conversations I had with a staff member during breakfast about the various foods that was on offer. I also appreciated the little gift that was given to us when we checked out as the hotel staff seemed to notice that I did enjoyed several cups of butter tea during my breakfast and the help with arranging a car to transport us to the train station. Overall, I am very impressed with our stay here and would not hesitate at all to recommend anyone to stay here. It is worth it!

Aankitag5Wonderful resort in Shangrila. Location is slightly away from the main spots but cabs are easily available. We got an upgraded room with a wonderful view. Since we are vegetarian, the hotel made special noodles for us for breakfast and gave us complimentary mushroom cookies. All in all a superb stay. Highly recommended.

The suite we stayed in had good facilities and the starry sky was great at night. The only regret was that the explanation of Songzanlin Temple was not very good.

GGuest UserThe best thing about this hotel is the view from the room. Unfortunately, that's as good as it gets! I really don't understand why it has such good reviews as I don't think it deserves them. Our room was really dirty - the first thing I saw when I walked in was dirt on the floor and clumps of hair in the corner by the furniture as well as hair on the floor. The most revolting thing was the bath mat on the floor - the parts of it that should have been white were a very dirty brown - it obviously hadn't been washed in many months. The ”fitted” sheets on the bed had bleach stains on them and they didn't fit the bed properly as they didn't tuck under the mattress which meant it came loose during the night. The mattress was very uncomfortable (hard and lumpy) - there was no mattress protector on the bed or protectors on the pillows. The walls are paper thin and, unfortunately, we had three very loud and excitable young women next door to us who talked and laughed very loudly until after midnight on all three nights we were there. The room wasn't serviced for the 3 nights we were there and we had to ask for extra toilet paper and water as they didn't put any in on the first day. We also had to empty our own bins and ask them to come and collect them from outside our door. The staff were friendly enough, but they seemed to spend all day on their phones lounging around in the rather untidy and dirty looking reception area. All the common areas were dirty too - the staircase hadn't been vacuumed any time recently as there was dirt on every stair. The place has a very neglected and uncared for feel about it which is a real pity as it could be lovely if some time and effort was put into making it clean and tidy and updating the furniture and bedding. It seems that the staff are very bored with their jobs and have no interest in keeping the place nice for customers.

GGuest UserI was skeptical about TeaHorse at first due to the lack of reviews but this turned out to be a wonderful stay! We stayed here overnight on our 2 day hike through the Tiger Leaping Gorge.
We upgraded to the Deluxe Standard Room (for extra 50 CNY) since the room is newer and slightly bigger. The ensuite toilet was basic but very clean. The beds were also heated and the aircon could be used for heating and cooling.
The guesthouse also runs a restaurant cooking homecooked meals and a cafe/bar boasting a beautiful view. We felt that the view from TeaHorse was better than the one at Halfway House, which seems to be the more popular resting spot amongst hikers. The view of stars from the cafe viewpoint at night is also amazing.
The staff helped us book a return bus to Lijiang, which left from Tina’s guesthouse the next day. Tina’s was a 4h hike from TeaHorse and we boarded the bus back to Lijiang Old Town with no problem.
Overall a lovely stay and would highly recommend this room as an overnight rest point for hikers.
