Location up high on the mountain. Only have hotel restaurants. My family and another couple friends were assigned rooms that are so cold (11 Deg C in early Apr) including the bed that our guide tried to contact the receptionist to help us adjust the heater. But no one came. So my husband has to personally climb approx. 50 stairs to go to the main lobby as there is no phone in the room. Someone came & tried to adjust it but he said that was the best he could do and asked us to wait for 10 min to see if the heater was working but it didn’t. I asked for a change of room. I have to climb the stairs to the assigned new room to check if the heater is warm. When all ok, then we moved our stuff. The rooms above the main building has different heater and is comfortably warm. Wasted 1.5 hrs of our rest time when we were so tired. Next the bed is hard but the pillows are too soft. Breakfast is just adequate but taste bland. They are helpful but difficult to contact them without physically climb stairs to meet them. In summary, you need a car and ability to climb stairs to stay here.

Our stay at snow mountain ice spring was amazing! We only spent 2 nights here and our entire itinerary was well organised by Ba San who helped us view all the major Bala Gezong scenic areas. Our transportation to and from the hotel and Shangrila station was also organised by the hotel staff, leading to a very well planned stay. The accommodation itself is huge and very comfortable and cosy, and the breakfast provided was so grand. Complimentary tickets for some activities was also provided, making this booking so value for money. While this hotel may be pricier than others, it is definitely very worth it and in our opinion, the only option you should consider for the Bala Gezong area.

Yajing Hotel 🏨 Yak beef and ******* fragrant pig, vermicelli are delicious, breakfast is also good! I am satisfied with the whole thing 👍 The front desk lady suggested that we go to the Renma Post Road, climbing up the scenery is beautiful and the view is wide! We also went to see the thousand-year-old Bodhi tree and saw the thousand-year-old Bodhi hand on the cliff, which is the hand sent by Tathagata to hold up the cliff!

It's hard to imagine the price. There is a bonfire party at night. The ethnic minorities there can sing and dance. The upper reaches of the Jinsha River are just outside the window. It's very spectacular. The people there are really simple. The ******* pork chops are also delicious. 58 yuan is enough for 3 people. There is also yak meat. Thank you Shangri-La and Barakzong for giving me a pleasant journey. The 185 room comes with a 220 ticket. I feel sorry for this place if I don't go there + breakfast, and it's October 1st.

I didn't have high expectations for a hotel in the mountains, but I was surprisingly satisfied! I booked a round-trip shuttle service from Shangri-La city for ¥200. As soon as I arrived, the hotel manager made a tour plan based on my needs, saving me the trouble of worrying about the connection; the room was fully heated and air-conditioned, and the cold mountains still made people feel warm at home; I had two lunches in the hotel's own restaurant, and the fried rice and rice bowls were reasonably priced and delicious; Bala Village is worth a slow tour, and the ******* Folk Culture Museum and Yinshan Yuye Cafe are both worth stopping by; the Shambhala Pagoda is of course the highlight of the Bala Gezong tour, but don't be stingy with time for the Shangri-La Grand Canyon Trail at the bottom of the valley, and the Gangqu River in winter will give you unexpected surprises!
