Hotels in Tiger Leaping Gorge, Shangri-La

This place is really paradise on earth - quickly book it before it gets destroyed in 1-2 years due to the government building a dam. Your accomodation hangs over a cliff so you get beautiful snow mountain and river views from the comfort and warmth of your room. It is an owner run place, where they treated us like family - we ate vegetables from their land, chicken from their backyard. And even visited their family home to eat tomatos from the vine and walnuts from their walnut tree

We really enjoyed our stay at this place. The view is amazing all around. Our room was beautifully designed, bathroom window facing the snow mountain. The floor heating and fire place makes the whole room warm and cozy. Their property located on a route to the big hike, makes it convenient to check out the mountains and water fall. Super friendly staff, they go above and beyond to meet our needs. Also really loved the breakfast and dinner experience. Home style cooking, eventuating was yummy on the menu. We’ll definitely come back next time we visit Yunnan. This hotel itself is an whole experience to enjoy.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel, which is perfectly situated in the gorge, offering breathtaking views right from our room (see photo). The location alone makes it a fantastic choice for anyone looking to enjoy the natural beauty of the area. The owners were incredibly kind and helpful, making us feel very welcome. Even though we don’t speak Chinese, communication was smooth thanks to a translation app. Their hospitality truly stood out, and we appreciated their warm and accommodating attitude. The only downside was that the common areas could be a bit cleaner, and our room was a little cold since the heating only worked when the key card was inserted. This made it difficult to keep the room warm when we weren’t inside. Overall, despite these small issues, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a scenic and welcoming place to stay in the gorge!

I arrived very early at the hotel, but that was no problem my upgraded room was ready. From start to finish I was beautifully looked after with nothing too much trouble. Thankyou. The language barrier was no issue with Wechat translate. The manager will book cars for you with drivers who know all the roots well. My room was immaculately clean and very comfortable. The showers were hot with good pressure. There is little night life and it was very cold outside so the movie channel was much appreciated. There are restaurants and shops in a village 500 metres up the hill with a good pharmacy available. The hotel is just a 10 minute drive from tiger leaping gorge scenic spot via the ticket office. It well worth a visit to the rapids. Breakfast was sold as basic but was delicious, noodles eggs , boazi, fruit and lashings of honey tea and coffee. All in all a perfect 2 night stay, thankyou.

I have been to Lijiang many times, and I want to find a hotel with a better environment to relax! I occasionally saw the introduction of the hotel on **, but I couldn't book it. I wanted to stay in Baisha Ancient Town for a few days and then go home. By coincidence, I opened Ctrip after getting off the plane and saw that there were rooms. I booked it decisively! The hotel environment is great, there are many check-in points, both during the day and at night! High-end atmosphere and classy! Come again next time!

Teacher Yang’s Inn is so great to stay in! Our family planned to go hiking on the Tiger Leaping Gorge High Road the next day. We saw on the map that this B&B was relatively close to Tiger Leaping Gorge, so we made the decision. It's easy to park when you arrive and the yard is very spacious. The room was very clean and tidy, and the bed was comfortable. Because it was the off-season, Teacher Yang upgraded our room for free. Early the next morning, breakfast was prepared for us. We liked the white porridge they cooked very much. Because it took a long time to cook, it was very fragrant. The restaurant environment was also very exquisite. In short, I really recommend it!

Took the room with bathtub outside. Amazing to have hot bath during winter in the middle of the Gorge. Staff are very welcoming. Helped us to carry the bags before hike, took us by car to hike starting point and even gave us some spare shoes as my friend had broken hers at Halfway. Great location, Great people, Great service, Great breakfast. Highly recommended! Besides, their staff can speak English and Japanese.

The hotel environment is super good, the balcony is the Jinsha River, the room is clean and tidy, the hotel security brother is very good, the service is warm, the lights in the room and the corridor are too dark, the quality of disposable toiletries is not very good (especially the quality of combs)

We arrived at noon. It was raining and the mountain roads were difficult to walk. I informed the boss in the guest-only WeChat group and the boss immediately sent someone down to help us drive. I ordered a meal in the group at noon, and the hotel sister delivered the meal to the room. The service was very attentive, the food was delicious, the portion was large, and the price was affordable. I booked a barbecue for the evening, the meat was fragrant, the tofu milk was full of flavor, the blues at night were very beautiful, and you could also see the lights under the mountain. The bed in the room is soft, there is an electric blanket, there is plenty of hot water for bathing, and other supporting facilities are also very good. The next day we went hiking in Laoyaoshan. One person, one horse and one guide cost 150 yuan, which was very affordable. There were goats, cows and horses in the pasture of Laoyaoshan, which was a great experience. Come again next time

What a beautiful view. The hotel itself is located nearby the famous Halfway guesthouse. Nice and clean hotel with friendly staffs. I once left my backpack in the restaurant and didn't realize until he deliver it to my room. Thank you. The room is simple but very spacious with two big beds. I think it could accommodate 4 peoples. The hightlight is.. the view from our room. Just open the curtain and you can see the majestic Yulong snow mountain. The restaurant below also delicious although we had a bit problem with translation. Ps : book the upper floor room.
