This homestay is the best I've ever stayed in. The location is in a little village just 10 minutes walk from songzanlin temple. It is off the business of dukezong ancient city which is perfect for anyone seeking some tranquillity. The property itself is amazingly clean. I booked the top floor room for the direct view to songzanlin temple and surrounding mountains. It has 2 beds which would have fitted a family. The property has 2 sections, one with traditional decoration and the other section with modern decoration (which mine was). The room had projector as a TV, smart toilet, and the shower comes with heater functionality. The room also has heated flooring. The balcony is spacious and perfect to drink tea and chill while enjoying the view. The best part of the homestay thought was the host family. They were very warm and welcoming. The boss drove me to buy ticket to the songzanlin temple, to the bus station the next day and the train station the following morning. Traditional zang tribe breakfast was also provided and I got to taste authentic yak butter tea. They had a couple of options available for dinner (yak hotpot or chicken matsutake hotpot). Both of them were too big a portion for a solo traveller but I ordered the chicken matsutake hotpot which was the smaller one. Amazing tasting soup, one of the best I've ever had.

Although it is not in the most lively area, it is very convenient to go to other attractions, especially to Songzanlin Temple, which is relatively quiet. The rest area on the 3rd floor is very unique. The room is well-equipped, comfortable and clean, and the auntie cleans it very well every day. The front desk staff were also very enthusiastic and polite. We stayed for three consecutive nights and the price included breakfast, which was very cost-effective. The bed is also very comfortable, the floor heating is OK, the temperature is uniform, it is a bit hot in the middle of the night, the windows are large and can be opened for ventilation, and you can see the snow-capped mountains during the day. The hot water was just ok. Overall it's very good.

Located in the scenic area of ​​Songzanlin Temple (locals call it the village), it takes about 10 minutes to walk to the temple. On December 29th, the annual Gedong Festival was held, and traffic control was limited. Thanks to the B&B in the scenic area, you can go to watch with a ticket, and the scene is really grand. The room of the viewing double bed room is very spacious, almost all wooden structure, the room has floor heating, and it doesn't feel cold to check in at the end of December. The location of the B&B is very suitable for me who drives by myself. One day, Songzanlin Temple-Dukezong Ancient City (about 20 minutes by car)-Panahai (about 20 minutes by car) is a circle, which is very leisurely. Breakfast can satisfy me who only needs two eggs. It is a good experience! It is recommended that the store can turn on the floor heating in advance before the guests check in!

When I came to Shangri-La this time, I chose a hotel blindly. Before booking the hotel, I asked the front desk of the hotel if there were any parking spaces. The lady at the front desk was very patient and helped us to check and informed us that there were still parking spaces. We just booked the hotel. After we arrived, It was around two o'clock in the morning, and I found that most of the parking lots were full. I went to the front desk to ask, and the front desk pointed out the parking space to us in time. We checked in smoothly. We were introduced to facial cleanser, hand cream, moisturizer and other supplies. There was Yunnan arabica coffee, which was very thoughtful. We were also upgraded to a room with oxygen, which was great~ The lady at the front desk was very cute and even gave me a small aromatherapy

Really beautiful hotel! The rooms are designed very nicely and are comfortable and spacious as well. Despite the cold outside, the room was very warm because of the floor heating etc. The hosts are very kind and helpful. The breakfast is great and plentiful. The location is wonderful, right next to the monastery. The village itself is very quiet and rural, great if you prefer to stay outside of the busy ancient town of Shangri La.

I lived in the ancient city a few days ago, and I changed to this hotel on the last day. I really regret not staying at this store at the beginning. It takes a long time to punch in the prayer wheel in the ancient city, and the others are no different from other ancient cities. The hotel is very close to Songzanlin Temple. It is very convenient to take a taxi to various scenic spots. Unlike the ancient city, there are various traffic jams. Take a taxi directly to the hotel entrance. There is an elevator in the hotel. There is no need to carry luggage. In high altitude areas, carrying luggage is really a big challenge for me. The heating in the room was very comfortable and the whole room was very warm. Facial towels, bath towels, floor towels and beds have a good sense of quality, not losing to a big five-star hotel. The room is also equipped with an oxygen generator and a disposable oxygen inhaler. The hair dryer is also a big brand, and I feel that the hotel has worked hard to improve the details of the comfort of the guests. The yak hot pot eaten at the hot pot restaurant downstairs is also much better than the ancient city net red shop. I feel correct and many locals are also eating here. The boss also sent free butter tea and barley cakes. I will live here directly next time I come to Shangri-La, and the overall experience is far beyond expectations!

The boss is super simple and cute. We originally booked a twin room, but when he saw that we were a family of three, he upgraded the room for free. We could see Songzanlin Temple directly from the window, and there was also breakfast. However, we couldn't have it because our schedule was too early the next day, which was a great pity. I will definitely book this hotel again next time I have the chance!

Everything is tiptop!!! From the moments we reached Shangri-la by train, driver was waiting for us…fetch us to the hotel with the Defendar. The car was very very clean. All the facilities in the hotel was excellent! The architecture of the hotel is tibetian style. Many of the handcraft look nice. The view from the hotel can see the songtsam temple. High tea was provided, the egg tart taste delicious even it is winter. The breakfast had varities of food. The hotel included ticket to songtsam temple, even provided a free guide to explain while visiting the monastery. The shampoo and body lotion in the room was nice to used, especially in winter season. The skin feel very dry. (Hope that hotel would sell it online) The hotel area was very big, there are a lots of nice view to take photo. Even the hotel is big, they provide buggy car so you not need to walk a lot. All the staff was well trained, they served us like family. Very heart warming🥰 We would like to stay in Songtsam hotel again.

It's a new hotel with new equipment and everything. It's very clean, with good supplies, and the front desk service is also very good. The breakfast is also delicious, especially the rice noodles and fried broccoli. I like it very much. It's not far from Dukezong, about 4 kilometers, and it only takes 10-12 minutes by taxi. I would rather take a taxi and stay in a new one than to stay in the old one in the ancient city. In fact, Shangri-La is not a big city. It's easy to get a taxi. It's very close to Songzanlin. The ticket hall is within 200 meters. And when you live in Shangri-La, especially in autumn and winter, you must have floor heating. It really makes you feel super happy! The floor heating is awesome! Recommended

The room facilities and bedding are very comfortable, clean and smart. The room has floor heating and sleeps very comfortably at night. The surroundings are also very quiet. It is also super close to Songzanlin Temple. The Tibetan living room also has a stove. It is very comfortable to roast in the morning at night. You can also cook by yourself. The boss and his wife are post-95 Tibetans. They patiently explain Tibetan culture to us. From check-in to check-out, they provide snacks, fruits and breakfast. The experience is full.
