We arrived following our hike and Shaun’s was a welcome paradise. It has a lovely traditional feel and the service is excellent. The room has a fantastic aspect over the valley and all amenities are very good. From here we were able to walk down to the river and spend some quiet and uninterrupted time enjoying it’s majesty. Rosey is a mine of information for travellers. Her English is very good and she gave us lots of local information and arranged onward transport and recommended places to visit in Shangri La. I recommend anyone who walks the trail stays here!

Such a quiet and peaceful place, with incredible views. A little far from the main tourist places, but it's only a plus because there are no crowds of tourists and you can see the real life of the locals. The hostess cooks homemade dishes in her restaurant and helped us order a transfer to Linzian directly from the hotel. We would like to go back there again.

Sean wasn't there, so we cannot say much about him. Anyway, his daughter Rosey and her auntie took good care of us. Rosey helped us with transfers and informations (she is an excellent english speaker) while her auntie took care of us on site, cooking express fresh food at every meal we had there. On that, I would suggest to order the meals in advance, because cooking fresh food from zero takes time.
The room we had assigned was a lovely wooden nest with a breathtaking view on the mountain.

Loved our stay here! It's a fantastic place to explore the Lower Tiger Leaping gorge as well as go up hiking in the mountains. It's serene, peaceful and not crowded and touristy like the middle or upper sections.
We got the best room with panoramic windows and could admire the beauty of the gorge from the comfort of our room.
Another thing to mention Sean and people working with him were all helpful and genuinely good people
It's absolutely worth sending a few days at Sean's while exploring the suroundings :)

The staff was very accommodating and tried to fulfill our needs. Rosey, the daughter, was very helpful with all our transportation bookings and hike recommendations. For the price we paid, it was value for money. Madam Fang who managed the place while the owner is away, was also very helpful. Great effort for a one-woman show.
