Shangri-La Pinecone International Youth Community

I liked the hostel that i extended my stay. Even though its away from the old town. There's a bus stop on the main street and I would take a didi back when it's past 18:30. Some of the staff speak english so that was really helpful, the room was clean, they even upgraded me to a 2-room dorm which helped me relax from the trip. The WC area is spacious, it's great to have the water spray next to the toilet and heated seats are a plus. I found the laundry area with shoe cleaning machines very useful. They also have a restaurant/bar on-site in the lounge area and I really liked the food there, had three meals and it was delicious. Would definitely stay here again.

wonderful and welcoming place, especially staff is really nice and kind Biggest pros - nice room, laundry facilities and bar and restaurant just on the ground floor Some negatives - area around the hotel is more like building site but that will ofc change in the future, bit far from the ancient city although manageable by didi :)

The hostel has a great staff, there are also people who speak English which is a great pro if you aren’t Chinese or you don’t speak Chinese. Special mention to Lexi - she was an amazing host, we had lovely talk and overall everyone was super nice.  The hostel building is quite new and I can see the potential however there are some details that can be improved - bedrooms for example are a bit cold and overall the area where the hostel is, is quite new there are no supermarket or restaurants closed by so it would be nice to have a service to rent bike/motorbikes to the city center. Other amenities as for example if the bar in the morning would offered coffee or the it would be nice :)
