Phoenicia Lodge

We had a great time on our trip to the Catskills and Phoenicia Lodge was a big part of our experience! The beds are super comfortable and the blankets SO soft and not too heavy nor too light. The little air conditioner when needed did the job. When cool enough for open windows, the airflow was great and the screens new. Great kitchen with everything you need. The included breakfast is absolutely wonderful with simple and highly nutritious food that can easily be taken along on a hike. We saw cute chipmunks and a very interesting long-eared rabbit! We had lots of neighbors, yet never heard them! It is a truly peaceful place and near Woodstock, Shandanken, Olive, Saugerties, Kingston, Bearsville, and if you are up for a serene drive of an hour northward, the magical Book Village known as the town of Hobart.

Super friendly and welcoming staff. Great cabins. Perfect location. Reminds me of summer camp. We met wonderful new folks gathering around the campfire. So fun!

This was our first stay here, and it certainly will not be the last. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Our cabin was so nice and cozy! They provided everything we could have needed and even left some doggy treats for our pup! The beds were super comfy! Perfect get a way destination- cute, cozy and quiet.

Take me home - country road… to a place we all belong! The Phoenician Lodge feels just like home. It is welcoming, inviting and peaceful! It is exactly as advertised and then some. From check-in to check-out you feel Sandra and Emily’s love for this place and their pride and joy in hospitality. We stayed in Suite 12 which was an unexpected surprise. First, it was spotless (I mean spotless) and there’s a retro style and feel, that takes you back in time (which we loved). The amenities (oh the Beekman 1802 toiletries😌); the little-completely fenced in yard for the pups to enjoy and the silence (oh the silence!). The only thing one could hear at night were crickets. A splendid stay! (Very close to Main Street, Woodstock, Pine Hill, Kingston, etc). Already making plans for a return in the Fall 🤗

I stayed at Phoenicia Lodge this past weekend for a friend's wedding that was in Big Indian. I was happy to find this hidden gem, as their rates are very reasonable compared to other hotels/lodges in the area. Sandra was so accommodating and responsive with any questions I had. She even coordinated an early check in for us since we had to get ready for the wedding which was much appreciated! The cottage was very clean and quaint - perfect for a weekend stay in the Catskills!

Great spot! 1940's cabins Redone and modernized. Comfortable beds with all the amenities one needs for a great catskill experience. Close to the heart of Phoenicia, Bellayre Woodstock etc. Gret grounds Fire pit. Lounge by the office. Amazing attentive staff. Communications were perfect. WIFI great and was a must! We will be back again and again!
