We had a great time at Eastwind - The hotel is very new and well kept with an amazing design sense. It feels private, small and cozy. The food at the restaurant, while not cheap was delicious and very impressive for feeling so remote. Cocktails were great. The bar / restaurant has a magical feel. The staff is lovely - very accommodating and nice. The rooms feel really special - they are small, but are done super well. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. We are raving about our trip and are happy (stayed for one night), but I do think its worth nothing a few callouts / things I wish I might have known - The Lushna Suites shown on the website have a private forest view. There are 6 of these and at least 3 of them look inward onto the resort and onto the path to check in / restaurant... because it was cold this wasn't too bothersome but I was initially disappointed given the photo on the website. - The bathroom in the Lushna Suite is a small non-airtight glass door. If you are sharing the suite, there is essentially no privacy - The sauna takes a very long time to warm up. Probably long enough to wonder if it works. We did abandon this after 50 minutes of heating and it only reaching 115 degrees - The steps down from the sleeping loft are steep. Someone else mentioned this in a review, but wanted to confirm. definitely a little nerve-racking for the middle of the night. The bathroom also doesn't have a lot of storage space / hooks etc. But you can make use of the cubbies in the stairs. - the canvas shades are not blackout shades... and the lights on the grounds which make it feel super special are on all night long. So the sleeping nook did not get super dark.
