Wonderful hotel, staff were very welcoming. Good breakfast and lovely evening meal. The hotel is in a good location for exploring Shaftesbury. The only downside is that there is no parking and you have to use public car parks which are short stay. We did move our car to a car park a bit further away which was free and long stay so not a problem if you don’t mind a walk.

Can't praise this hotel enough ! Lack of onsite parking was only a minor problem (Location rating) as public car park (Bell) was close.

My wife and I stayed for a short break. The accommodation and food was of a high standard but of particular note is the customer service provided by all the staff we came into contact with which was excellent right from the point of booking. We found parking convenient but a bit tricky as we wanted to overnight. However on a positive note the hotel contributes towards the cost of this.

Lunch with my children. Very nice. The food was good and the chips were to die for. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The burger was very nice the bun was a little weak. The crab was nice and tasty, so was the aubergine hummus. Would I go back? Yes, very much so!!!

All was 'excellent' apart from the parking arrangements! A pity the car park across the road behind Morrisons can not be supported like your recommended car park, a ten minute walk away. This car park was also nigh on full the two days we stayed at the Grosvenor Arms.

Friendly, clean and warm. ( Were there a cold February). In the absolute city centre and close to everything. Very good food and a nice popular pub.
