Vritomartis Naturist Resort

Our eighth visit over the last 12 years and we still love going to Vritomartis. We were fortunate to get our ideally positioned bungalow and having not been for a couple of years were delighted with the room refurbishment. We always walked down to Filaki Beach and took the bus back mid afternoon. The beach taverna food was really good with the salads being outstanding. Though we enjoyed dinners the veg even on hot plates was cold. Some more Greek dishes would be good. We will return.

This is a naturist hotel. Everything here is created so that you can fully immerse yourself in this atmosphere and enjoy nature, the sea, the sun! Everything is very comfortable! Good breakfast, very varied dinner with all sorts of goodies. There is an opportunity to relax on the beach by the sea and in the pool. The animators are not intrusive, but they can always stir up the crowd. Excellent hotel - we recommend

This was our 6th time to Vritomartis and it never fails to delight. We were given a bungalow (907) which had been renovated since last the last time we were there (September 2023) They have made an excellent job, new floors and at last a proper bed! The room was so much nicer, we had stayed in the same room before and felt it needed an upgrade. New A/C units and really big TV plus so many lights I lost count. Also we were pleased to see kettles are now provided, but no tea or coffee. As usual everything at Vritomartis is spotlessly clean and the staff are all really helpful and friendly. We found the food on a night wasn’t as good as in previous years. Yes it has improved from our first visit 6 years ago but last year was so much better than this. The carvery section had pork or chicken on the whole 11 nights except once there was lamb. We found many items not as hot as they should be, which was disappointing. We heard many other guests saying the same thing. However the dessert section was as spectacularly good as usual. The resort does need to invest in some extra sunbeds around the pool. There was definitely less than last year. Also anyone who saved a bed before 10am and left to go for breakfast would find their towels gone. We agree to this to some extent, however all it ended up with is people either going separately to breakfast whilst their partner saved the beds or letting other couples sit on their beds to save them. We ended up having to set the alarm clock early, not great. There’s plenty of room for extra beds, maybe a system where you are allocated sunbeds when you arrive and keep them all the time would be better. We loved our stay, meeting old friends and seeing the wonderful scenery of Sfakia. We will definitely return hopefully next year for our 7th visit and our 16th to Crete
