a charming hotel in a small town, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The room was cozy and well-decorated, creating a welcoming atmosphere. However, I did find the kitchen lacking; it would have been more convenient to have an induction stove and a microwave, along with some basic cooking equipment like pots and pans. While there was a supermarket across the road, stocking up on raw food proved challenging for a short stay. Additionally, the absence of nearby restaurants made dining options limited. Despite these drawbacks, the hotel provided a comfortable base for my visit.

The room was very small, which I knew. Bedding and towels are clean. But the building is very good, and has a musty smell. The shelf in the bathroom got in the way of the wash basin, and there is no way not to splash some water on the floor. The Nordic restaurant is the best I have tasted in Iceland thus far.

Location: Good, located next to the lake, with restaurants and attractions nearby
Facilities: We stayed in a two-person room on the third floor. The room was a bit small, and a suitcase larger than a boarding suitcase might get stuck; the extension cord had poor contact, the hot water pressure was sufficient, and it came with a hair dryer, soap, shampoo and Conditioner; there is chess to play in the public area.
But why does the 4-person room on the first floor have a hot water kettle (as seen through the window when walking by the lake), but not upstairs? !
Service: The first floor is under renovation, self-service is provided, keys are provided in envelopes for self-pickup, no breakfast is provided, only paper is enclosed in the envelope. Recommended restaurants

We had booked this hotel as I was tired of campgrounds and this hotel was almost worse than a campground. The shared kitchen was the only thing that was good about this hotel as it was new and moderately clean. The hotel is made entirely of wood so everything creaks and vibrates when you walk around. If you have to book here, better to be on the top floor so you can sleep. The room has a horrible musty smell and dirty carpet. The bed sheets had holes The mattress was extremely worn and soft. The shower was not bad but the sink was incredibly small and not even big enough to wash your hands.

Het hotel ziet er van buiten eenvoudig uit, gevestigd in een oud gebouw aan de oever van het fjord. Helemaal in de oude stijl van de kleurrijke IJslandse traditionele huizen. Heel authentiek en zeker geen goedkope eenheidsworst zoals bij zoveel andere hotels. Hier voelt iedereen zich direct thuis. Binnen is die sfeer behouden maar met alle moderne comfort. Heerlijke bedden en een leuke alcoof met t****e bed op de familiekamers. De familiekamers hebben een geweldig uitzicht over de fjord en het plaatsje. Eenvoudige badkamer met fijne douche en ruimschoots handdoeken. De receptie is in Hótel Aldan, ongeveer 100 m verderop in het centrum van Seyðisfjördur. Ontbijt en diner is ook in Hótel Aldan. Het personeel is zeer gastvrij en vriendelijk en heel behulpzaam. Ontbijt in Hótel Aldan was heel erg goed, en het diner in Hótel Aldan was ook heel lekker, maar met name de sushi-bar was echt supergoed!

Hotel dell'affascinante atmosfera retro', tutto in legno con mobilia d'epoca. Vista sul fiordo incantevole e sulla graziosa cittadina. Atmosfera da inizio 900. Pulito con unico inconveniente del bagno minuscolo ricavato da un angolino della stanza. Possibilità di fare un'ottima e abbondante colazione con pane e brioche appena sfornati nell'hotel Aldan, praticamente accanto. Personale gentilissimo.

Very small rooms but clean. Hotel is a very old building that had some renovations but needs more. Walls are paper thin. Can hear other guests talking thru walls. Was there for only one night so made best of it. Downstairs has a "honesty" area where you can buy drinks (soda, beer, wine) and snacks. You pay by credit card but there is no one there if something goes wrong. Surrounding area is absolutely beautiful. Lake out back with ducks and other wildlife. Cool brewery close by with food. Friendly staff. Not many other choices. Easy free parking.

Piccolo hotel che fa parte di un complesso di 3 edifici (prima credo fosse un vecchio ufficio postale poi adibito ad hotel). La reception così come la zona colazione sono in un altro edificio (che dista circa 50 metri). La nostra stanza era al secondo piano, piuttosto ampia, ben pulita ed arredata in stile retrò; nel complesso molto carina e caratteristica. Il bagno veramente minuscolo, al limite del vivibile. Wifi gratuito presente ovunque. Colazione buona e piuttosto varia. Non c'é purtroppo possibilità di cenare nella struttura. Non aspettatevi una struttura di lusso ma secondo me è molto carino e merita una visita. Personale estremamente cordiale e disponibile.
