This is a truly stunning resort. I have never been to a hotel in such a remote location, yet it managed to exceed all the comforts one would expect from a premier hospitality experience. Starting with the private plane ride to the property from Mahe, everything was top notch and unforgettable (there cannot be many hotels in the world that boast their own airport like this one does). The island itself is full of incredible wildlife, and in general feels very exotic, yet the hotel has been built beautifully and subtly into the nature to not disturb the aesthetic. The beaches are pristine, the water clear and is teeming with fish, turtles, rays and small (vegetarian!) sharks, and the hotel offers no shortage of activities (diving, sea kayaking, snorkeling, paddle boarding, fishing, many others). The property itself boasts multiple high end dining outlets, all with their own unique menus, themes, ambience, staff and great music. Other common areas, including bars and pools, were stunning. Throughout the stay, the staff was warm, attentive and great to interact with. It's a small island, but quite large for how few guests there are, hence it generally feels incredibly private and personal. It was a difficult hotel to leave and not an experience I will be forgetting anytime soon.
