We arrived directly from another Ibis Budget, in Nîmes, where we had an excellent experience so couldn’t help making comparisons. I’m afraid that it didn’t compare favourably. The receptionist was efficient enough but when we asked for a map, she said there were none due to Covid. We’ve been staying at many Accor hotels over the last three months and that was the first time we’d heard that. We were told that checkout time was 11am, an hour earlier than the normal checkout time throughout Europe, but for us that was okay. The room, number 1, was, as requested, facing the carpark. In fact, it was on the ground floor and faced directly on to the carpark. Which meant, in the morning, we couldn’t open the blind while getting ready without people in the carpark looking in. It wasn’t big (but we expected that), was dark and was a little tired looking but was okay for a night. It was clean and the aircon worked well. The WiFi was pretty lousy and only improved after midnight after, I assume, most other guests were asleep. Breakfast was fine - a good continental range - and the orange juice was real. The last straw was when we asked upon leaving whether we could leave our luggage there for an hour and a half while we looked around town. Tersely, the receptionist said “There!” Upon looking, we found there were lockers around the corner that had to be locked with €2 coins. We’ve never come across that! Instead we decided to drag our bags around town. We found the staff not at all friendly and would not recommend this hotel.

It was nice to be close to the station and to be able to arrive in about 10 minutes from the center of the city. The bus stop is also right in front of you. It was nice to be able to receive free luggage storage service at the reception for a while after check-out. The room was very clean, but it was a bit cold. I asked for a room with a canal view and the view was so pretty.

Pour quelques jours j’y reviendrai. Le personnel est accueillant et très sympathique. Chambre spacieuse et confortable, la salle principale est un peu petite pour 4. Le gros bémol est la propreté et l’aménagement de l’espace bien être.

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Port Marine. The room was modern and the bathroom was really nicely done. The cleaning team were amazing and always offered us bottles of water as we made our way out for the day. There was a bus stop right outside the hotel for us to get to the beaches within 10 minutes and there are a lot of restaurants and bars within walking distance. The tielle is a must try when you visit Sète.

Cet établis*****t propose plusieurs types de Suites différentes et elles sont toutes magnifiques ! Nous avons eu le plaisir de loger dans une de ces suites durant un weekend et le calme, l’ambiance et la chaleur du lieu donne une atmosphère unique à cet endroit ! La maîtresse de maison est d’une gentillesse extrême et elle nous a même proposé de visiter les autres suites, ce qui nous a donné envie d’y retourner pour loger dans les autres logements, avec tous une décoration unique, les suites sont toutes aussi belles les unes que les autres ! Le petit déjeuner est un régal et propose des produits locaux et frais. La situation géographique est idéale et permet de se balader dans Sète à pied sans problème. Le logement propose tous le confort nécessaire que ce soir pour un long ou court séjour. Aussi, je souligne que les produits d’accueils sont excellents, ce qui est de + en + rare. Si vous cherchez un lieu insolite, feutré, luxueux sans être prétentieux avec une atmosphère unique et du personnel au petits soins et discrets, allez y les yeux fermés !
