The service at the gate leaves a lot to be desired. The camping site is overpriced and poorly serviced. Not worth paying good SA rands for such amenities. Time to let Namibia go and focus on better inland attractions. NWR aren't delivering on the fees charged. Attitude of personnel is below standard.

Great location, friendly staff, refreshing pool. We spent two nights here to tackle the Sesriem Canyon, Big Daddy and Deadvlei. Unfortunately it was very windy both evenings, so the comfort suffered a bit. The camps on the other side were safer but more sheltered from the wind. Otherwise it was great. The sanitary facilities are simple but great. The staff at the petrol station, which also functions as reception, were very friendly and helpful. Clearly recommend it.

Great location to camp
It's great place to camping just outside the Park entrance. It has shower and toilet facility and even warm water in the desert area. Worth the price.

We camped and self catered. Firstly the camping areas need some screening. The sand blows everywhere and the wind can get a bit strong. The wifi is only available at the "reception" area and that closes early evening so be prepared to talk to each other. There is a pool but basically just a plunge pool, with no shelter from the wind you are covered in sand by the time you get back to your tent. This was the only place we had to peg our tent down.
