I don’t normally write reviews, but felt that the Gambia experience needed’ Bigging up ‘ from the start with booking staff , then Titan airways the cabin crew, which we felt was a much more personal experience, than larger companies. Then our amazing holiday at Kombo beach resort. We chose to go bed and breakfast only , because we feel the need to give business to the local restaurants , who are so grateful for your business . Victor the manager of the resort gave us such a welcome , his presence around the resort and staff was nice to see . All the staff couldn’t do enough for you to assure a great time , We have to make a special mention to our room maid Kaddy who kept our rooms looking lovely and her ‘ towel art was amazing, especially on my birthday and the evening before we came home . When we said our good byes it was quite emotional Also a big thankyou to Aida (a la carte restaurant)and the pool guys , you are all amazing . Missing the colourful wildlife / birds And your happy smiling faces Best wishes to you all , Joanne,Greg Kearn & Debbie & Rhys Heke

KOMBO BEACH IS ABSOLUTELY RECOMMENDED. THE HOTEL IS FANTASTIC. THE FOOD IS ABSOLUTELY GREAT AND VARIOUS. THE ROOMS ARE RECENTLY ALL UPGRADED AND ARE CLEAN AN EVERY DAY CLEAN SHEETS!!. THE STAFF IS SO FRIENDLY AND HELPFULL. NEVER SEEN SO MUCH HAPPINESS IN DOING THEIR JOB. THE STAFF AND ESPECIALLY VICTOR THE HOTEL MANAGER IS GIVING YOU THE ATTENTION LIKE YOU ARE A VIP. THIS HOLIDAY WAS FANTASTIC. NOVEMBER 29TH WE WILL RETURN! THIS HOTEL IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. SIMON PRIJS

My wife and I enjoyed 14 night here and were very satisfied. The rooms were comfortable with good TV and wifi. Food quite satisfactory and evening entertainment better than we anticipated. The staff are willing and friendly. Special mention to Victor Soares, the manager , Linda and Ali in the bar and Sam for beach/sunbed assistance. Location so close by the beautiful beach was superb. Altogether a pleasurable and relaxing experience.

Wat een prachtig hotel met een super vriendelijk personeel. Ondanks de ramadan blijven ze vriendelijk. Erg schoon en zeer behulpzaam. Victor houdt alles in de gaten en grijpt meteen in als dat nodig is. Dankjewel voor de gastvrijheid en we komen zeker nog eens terug!

Prachtig gelegen direct aan het strand. Hotel is gelegen in een groene omgeving. Ruime kamers. Worden dagelijks zeer goed schoongemaakt (door Fatu kamer 218). Vriendelijk personeel. Dag en nacht bewaking aan het strand. Restaurant is van uitstekende kwaliteit en het eten is internationaal (Europees, Indiaas, Chinees en Gambiaans). Zee is soms ruw. Dit hotel is zeer zeker vier sterren waard.

Super verblijf gehad in dit hotel. De hele staf en Victor een dikke 10, wat zijn we verwend en wat doet de iedereen zijn best! Het hotel ligt direct aan het heerlijke strand en is pas gerenoveerd. Let wel op je bent in Afrika en niet in Europa. Maar met recht Hotel Kombo Beach the smiling hotel on the coast van Gambia!

Zalig verblijf gehad in dit hotel. Mooie ruime kamers, hotel heel proper, lekker eten en super vriendelijk personeel. 2 minpuntjes: 1- in het restaurant zijn vaak tafels gereserveerd, waardoor je verplicht bent om buiten te eten (waar het soms heel winderig is). 2- Versierpogingen door sommige personeelsleden van het hotel. In andere reviews wordt vaak geschreven dat de zondagen heel druk zijn in het hotel, maar dit hebben wij helemaal niet zo ervaren. Leuke namiddag met de live-band. Voorzie voor ‘s avonds iets met lange mouwen, er is vaak wind. Taxi luchthaven - hotel: 20-25 euro Neem voldoende €5 mee als je fooien wilt geven en wissel euro’s naar de lokale munt. 100m rechts van het hotel kan je een kanotocht van een uur maken.
