Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge

An absolutely beautiful lodge. It is what bucket lists are made of. The food was top quality and so much choice. The staff were absolutely amazing. The rooms were a dream overlooking the park. They also put on evening entertainment which is brilliant after a full day of travel / safari. We didn't want to leave.

One in life time safari trip. Serengeti is so big , you need to track so many miles. One place seen 16 lion family parade. Leopard on tree. Hippopotamus pond with hundreds of them. Countless number of Zebra, Elephants, wildebeests, Impalas, Okapis, Gazelles etc. Safari services by Cosmic safaris (Nairobi) & Buck Bush safaris ( Arusha) were awesome. Drivers were excellent and courteous.

The Serena Serengeti is nestled in the heart of the central Serengeti which is near to large populations of animals. It is located on the side of a hill which offers good views of the surrounding savanna. The rooms look like thatched houses, but with comfortable amenities inside. The shower was amazing. Check in was relatively smooth but the front desk was a little demanding and the porters were very pushy to carry our luggage to the rooms. Otherwise, I had a nice room with a balcony overlooking countryside. Since there are no fences around the property you need to call a guard for escort after dark. It was easy to do. The food was great. They had a buffet shortly after we arrived with a wide range of foods from different traditions as well as fresh fruit and salad. I’ve stayed at this lodge previously and it was better than I remembered.

We traveled with a Tauck Tour to Ngorongoro, Serengeti and Zanzibar. The Serengeti was a wonderful lodge. Best of all, a naturalist, Reinhard, took us on two nature walks, going out of his way to help us find birds and animals we were looking for. He was super friendly and helpful!

Amazing view over the valley, qithanimals on your doorstep. Very clean, Rooms are comfortable but dated. No air conditioning. Food: average buffet and menu food, with a decent wine list. The Hotel offers shows with Masai dancers, and activities.

As a family we are serena hotels customers completely, choosing them every year / holiday for the past 15 or so years, and staying in over 15 of their branches. Last year was same.. happily over at Serena Serengeti on 31st December 2024. Beautiful place. After the best game drive ever, we looked forward to the highlighted new year's eve family party. We still cringe in memory of the night. The entertainment was more of a staff party with guests left to shockingly watch, the ones who could stand it or without family or kids as it was completely inappropirate for family viewing. From the traditional dancers, to the music, to the staff conduct, drinking and behavior. It should have had an X rating warning. At some point later on, which I cant describe here, as parents we hounded our children out embarrased. There is much that cannot be unseen in the eyes of our children. Serena management should have atleast reviewed beforehand what entertainement they were serving to their guests from all over the world.... and set a disclaimer. My view
