First of all, the information of the camp given by Ctrip is wrong, the phone number is wrong, and the address is also wrong... Fortunately, the staff of the Park Management Bureau helped me contact the hotel after getting off the plane. The hotel is very good and arranged for me to stay for two days. lodge, the other day is camp, because the two are run by the same company... The facilities are very good, clean, and the meals are very ceremonial... Very good

This is a rather small property and the tents were extremely dark and a little difficult to manage. The food was served family style and was mediocre at best. The prices for wine and drinks was quite high when purchasing a bottle of wine. The cheapest was $56 for a white wine however by the glass only $12 for a house wine.

We spent three nights at Mbuzi Mawe Serena Camp. We are impressed with the good location and the great staff of this camp. The area around the uroismaic with rocks on which you can meet lions and rock goats (mbuzi mawe). A few minutes away from the camp you can meet flocks of buffalo, elephants, zebras, impali, etc. We will definitely visit Mbuzi Mawe Serena Camp in June.

Remote glamping. Feels like a miracle that this camp in the middle of the Serengeti has hot water, electricity, Internet, and white tablecloth dining. Staff are friendly and helpful. This is not for the faint hearted or light sleeper. There are delightful animal noises at night. Baboons come into the camp at dusk. You need an escort to the dining tent after dark (easily arranged by telephone). I had a buffalo outside my tent one night. I never felt unsafe though.
I would strongly recommend to book via a tour guide. It's tough to figure out how to get there otherwise.

When we arrived at Mbuzi Mawe, I felt like I had stepped onto a movie about a safari. Yes we stayed in “tents” but these are tents with real floors, real beds, hot water, and 24-hour electricity (and Wi-fi). At the same time this is very much the wild as when our escort came to take us to dinner he pointed out several African Buffalo less than 5 yards from the doors of our tents and we absolutely heard the lions at night. Our dinner was excellent - be sure to try the Serengeti Balls (they are amazing chocolate cake balls) - and the local Tanzanian dish was highly flavorful. This was the only place on our safari where we were given the option of picking what we wanted for lunch the following day in some level of detail which was nice. We had also arranged a brief walking safari. We were accompanied by a nature guide who provided us with an interesting orientation to the flora and fauna of the area and adapted our route when part of the path was blocked by buffalo. We were also joined by one of the park rangers too. The walk was not long or difficult and it was a nice chance for us to see things on foot instead of from a vehicle and is something I would recommend if you have the chance.

The room was good and the service was good. The chef made for us whatever we wanted for dinner. Jonas was an awesome waiter and friendly. Even breakfast was served well just the fried egg wasn’t done well but otherwise all good. No complains at all
