Great hotel to see sun bears, orangutans and rain forest, everything is close by.
The room is not bad, air conditioning, hot water is available - this is the main thing.
The hotel has a beautiful green area, there is a swimming pool. In general, the price/quality is normal, no frills.

A great access point for sepilok orangutan conservation centre. It's a short walk away. The food was very good. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable. The staff were nice.

A casual, rustic lodge with a view over their pond and tropical garden. Swimming pool for guests. Staff very friendly. Rooms ok for a short stay - has all you need. A drive from the town but easy walk to the RDC and nextdoor to the Orangutan and the Sun bear centres. Good value.

Perfect location for an orangutan and bear sanctuary. Very poor quality rooms and I can confirm what I read in one of the comments: this place has incredible potential and it would only take a little willingness and it would be really fantastic. Nevertheless, I recommend it! At breakfast you can watch kingfishers and catfish in the pond. You are surrounded by the jungle, and at night you can hear a symphony of sounds coming straight from it.

Hygiene: Five stars! The floor is spotless, so clean that you can walk barefoot. As a hotel in the mountains, the hygiene is beyond my imagination.
Facilities: It is not convenient to take a shower. There is no soap, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hair dryer, slippers, toothbrush, etc.
Environment: It is very close to the orangutan and common monkey sanctuary, and it can be reached in ten minutes by foot. Sun bears are next to them. If you are lucky, you can see the bird in the first picture when you have breakfast in the hotel.

We were here for a week. The breakfast and other food was good and tasty but after five days you start to need more variety and choices. For breakfast I would like to choose yoghurt or soy milk with muesli. As a vegetarian you eat a lot of eggs otherwise. The room was clean, the shower warm, enough clean towels, kettle. What more could you want? A good birdwatcher Guido, and he is there! On the grounds of the lodge we saw more species of birds than in the Rainforest Discovery Center. A minus point. When we ran out of cash we wanted to 'withdraw' some money from the cash register with our credit card. They asked for a 12% commission for that. Too much!
