Sepilok Jungle Resort

Covered in mold. Absolutely all of it) The area is beautiful, but nothing can be done because of the dampness of the jungle and frequent rains. Therefore, the entire area is covered in mold and periodically smells bad. But it is very beautiful. The rooms are simple but colorful, the beds and pillows are comfortable and medium-hard. They clean well, change towels every day and bring water. On the day of our arrival, a girl helped us change the room. Because ours smelled very, very strongly of mold. The air conditioners still smell. It is not advisable to open the windows) The staff is good. The breakfast is minimal without meat products. Only eggs are from protein. There is 1 type of fruit. The location is very convenient for visiting Sepilok Orang Utan Sanctuary, Rainforest Discovery Centre (RDC) and Labuk Bay. The nursery is within walking distance (+ sun bears are there), in RDC for a night excursion they take you by car when ordering at the reception. Labuk - Maxim and Grab (the first is cheaper), will take you to the gate, then the driver offers to drive around the nursery (he needs to buy a ticket), because they are not allowed into the territory, and it is another 1.3 kilometers to platform A, another 1 kilometer to platform B. You can buy boat excursions through the jungle at the hotel. There is a small souvenir shop. Water costs 8 ringgit for a large bottle and 4 for a small one. In the nursery - 4 for a large one. Prices in the hotel restaurant are inflated. It is cheaper and tastier in the Sepilok nursery nearby (before the ticket offices).

A superbly located, very old, one might say, shabby hotel. The room was quite clean and the plumbing was new. The breakfasts were rather meager and the "dining room" on the veranda was not very clean. The pool was neglected, the shower and toilet by the pool were in an unacceptable condition. The territory is very picturesque, it was very funny to move around it: there is a system of footbridges built over the ponds.

I stayed at the hotel for one night. In general, I got what I wanted and expected from it - a picturesque area, local color. The cafe has reasonable prices and delicious food. They didn't check me in for 2 hours earlier, I waited in the pool. There is a feeling of not very well-kept facilities near the pool, including the toilet, but this is almost everywhere in Borneo. This did not spoil the impression. The pool is clean, cool, but the smell of chlorine was quite noticeable. There was no hair dryer or refrigerator in my room. But the room itself is nice, stylish, a good bed, white linen and towels. The buffet breakfast is not very varied, but quite tasty. Natural coffee from a coffee machine. During my stay, there were not many people, a pleasant, calm, exotic atmosphere.

Incredibly beautiful territory right in the jungle. Just delight!!! 2 lakes, a swimming pool, buildings, a restaurant are connected by bridges, everything is very clean and tidy. In the evening you can eat in the Banana cafe for an average price - quite tasty! Breakfasts included in the price - well, it could be worse .... The room is clean. There is always hot water, air conditioning. No refrigerator, safe. Daily cleaning with a change of towels. We really liked it! We will come back here again, despite the shortcomings, because the location is great and it is very pleasant to be on the territory.
