Rukhad Jungle Camp

We visited Pench Tiger Reserve via Rukhad Gate (buffer zone) and stayed at Rukhad Jungle Camp’s **Jal Mahal Elevated Cottage** on the night of the feb, followed by a morning safari next day. From the warm welcome to the delicious lunch at **Bison Retreat Restaurant** (the reception for Jal Mahal Cottage, located on the highway), everything was seamlessly arranged by **Mr. Rohit and his team**. Transfers, the safari, and even a packed breakfast were all well-coordinated, making our stay fantastic. Jal Mahal Cottage, secluded and overlooking a waterbody frequented by deer and monkeys, offered a true nature-immersed camping experience. The next morning’s safari was a highlight—we were lucky to spot **two tigers (including Tigress Mastani)**, thanks to our skilled driver, **Mr. Pawan**, and knowledgeable guide, **Mr. Ravinder**, who expertly tracked them via pug marks. The **food was excellent, service outstanding, and the overall hospitality exceptional**. A truly rewarding experience—we can’t wait to return!

Stayed at jal mahal for two nights. Worth the experience and spent hours watching deers grazing right near the cottage. Excellent hospitality by Mr. Dipender Pal and Mr. Biswajit das. Would recommend the management to fix glass frames to the railings in the balcony to prevent naughty children in slipping into the lake below. Overall all the facilities in the cottage were superb considering the location. Must visit place at lease once in a lifetime. Will plan to visit again in summer months for more frequent sightings near the lake. Rooms: well maintained considering the location

Very neat and clean facility. Everything was quite satisfying. A special mention for Mr Dipen Pal and Mr Biswajeet Das who were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The place is highly recommended for some quite time close to nature and is absolute bliss.

Arrived by car from Nagpur. The RJC team welcomed us with tea while our ride into our remote lodging was prepared. Open air off road vehicle drove us to our lodging located in the Pench park and tiger preserve. Very good accommodations with views of lake and jungle. There’s no wandering around here - deep into the buffer area of tiger country. You’re either in your lodging or in a safari vehicle. The food prepared for us was excellent - both veg and non veg accommodated. Not too spicy for my non Indian palate. Took two safaris - one evening and one morning. Many deer, monkeys, cows, a wild boar, etc. Alas, no tigers on these two adventures of about four hours each. Knowledgeable and friendly drivers and guides. An amazing way to experience the beautiful jungle and countryside. Appreciation to Dipendra Pal and team for so closely caring for our wants and needs.

Amazing … that’s one one word to describe our stay at Jungle camp Rukhad . The property is located inside the jungle and the way they manage the show be it arranging your meals , transportation , safari is really commendable . We spend 3 nights at this property ***** with family and friends , thanks to the entire team of jungle camp Rukhad for making it an unforgettable experience ….
