Hotels near Seongsan Ilchulbong, Seogwipo

The hotel has a really great location and stunning views, which immediately evokes positive emotions. However, the room itself left a lot to be desired. Unfortunately, it turned out to be in a rather ”killed” condition, with many inconveniences. For example, there are only two sockets, and those are located in inconvenient places. On the photos the yellow color looked beautiful, but in reality it turned out to be depressing. In addition, the walls were dirty and clearly in need of repair. Walking down the hallway, I noticed that the rooms on our side, where the yellow walls were, looked worse than the others. It looks like the hotel is slowly being renovated and the other rooms have already been cleaned up. Don't rely entirely on my review as the hotel is probably improving the condition of the rooms. Hopefully things will have changed for the better by the time you check in, as the view from the window is truly divine.

🛖Check-in: The front desk is a small house. We arrived at 11 am and thought we would check in at 3 pm. Unexpectedly, the boss said the room was ready and gave us the room card directly. In addition, he gave us 2 coffee shop vouchers, each for -3000. The front desk has a microwave and washing machine, which are all self-service. 🏞️Guest rooms: ①Three room types: ”Duplex Haeilei Spa”, ”Balcony Haeilei Spa”, and ”Pool Suite Villa” ②The duplex Haeilei Spa room we booked is located on the 2nd and 3rd floors. The downstairs is the kitchen, bathroom + high-ceiling living room, and the upstairs is the bedroom + outdoor terrace small hot spring pool. The most surprising thing about this room type is the full sea view floor-to-ceiling window, which has an excellent view. It feels like living in a cruise ship. The room is very large ③The balcony Haeilei Spa is on the 2nd floor, single-story, and there is a balcony with a small hot spring pool outside the bedroom ④The pool suite villa is located on the 1st floor, single-story, bedroom + living room, and outside is the swimming pool + hot spring pool + yard. The yard is fenced and slightly affects the view ⑤Rates: Pool Suite Villa＞Balcony Haeilei Spa＞Duplex Haeilei Spa ✅Recommend basic duplex room, 800+ on weekdays, 1K1 on National Day, high cost performance! ☕Cafe Seaside cafe, two floors, many seats, overlooking Seongsan Sunrise Peak and Udo Island, cloudy days feel like the end of the world, sunny evening to see the beautiful sunset. The beach swing, beach piano check-in is endless, the coffee menu is detailed in the pictures

Very good. The room can see Seongsan Sunrise Peak and the rapeseed fields outside the window. There is a little girl at the front desk who can speak a little Chinese and can meet basic communication needs. She is very polite.

The hotel is stunning and the rooms were really nice. Special mention to the bathroom which was so clean and so luxurious. All the staff was super friendly and helpful. However, we were quite disappointed to face a price to access the sauna and nothing to eat or drink offered in the room for such a high-standard hotel. The swimming pool was nice but so stinky that we weren't comfortable going in it. The outdoor pool was not heated enough to swim in it during winter. The hotel had so many things included (24-hour convenience store, multiple restaurants) you could basically live there. Beware that there are a lot of families, therefore kids and you can hear them from early morning. If you go there it's good to have a car but the village next to them has many different restaurants and a large nice beach. The big minus: we booked a room for 3 on Trip.com but when we arrived at the hotel they said it was only for two and we had to pay an extra per night quite high. In short: I highly recommend the place.

Medium priced hotel in a great location with a good view of the mountain. Lots of restaurants nearby and close to some key locations. Although the breakfast was good value for money, I felt it was a bit lacking. And a few times, the cleaners forgot to refill the towels and water. Otherwise, a mostly positive experience.

I got in around midnight but there was a very easy and convenient check in kiosk, which I had never seen before in any hotel. The room was clean with great smelling toiletries and a very cozy bed, it also had a great view. There is a 7/11 connected to the hotel which stays open until midnight and it’s also walking distance from a big market. I would recommend this hotel and be glad to stay again.

The hotel is located close to the port. Our balcony had an amazing view overlooking that port. The hotel is located in a super quite neighborhood, but at the same time it's easy to find cafes and restaurants to eat out. 7/11 shop with atm in in just around the corner. Can't say anything about jacuzzi, because they were not working at the moment we visited.

The room is clean. I can not find any information about whether they provide Wi-Fi or not. There is some free Wi-Fi around there (I don't know which belongs to the hotel), but I can not use it. There is no information on the reception to contact by table telephone (I do not know Korean). Maybe they can provide some number of the reception so the customer can contact them quickly by table telephone

We stayed for 3 days and overall pleasant stay. Will stay again if visit the Seogwipo area. Hotel entrance is small and we almost missed it when drove through the first time. Convenient location. Olle market is within walking distance. It is not far from Cheonjiyeon Waterfall and Oedolgae rock with 10-15 mins drive. Hotel room is clean and quiet. Staff are friendly and some can speak reasonable English. We booked for standard twin room and the hotel gave us free upgrade to deluxe twin. The only drawback is the air conditioner in the room is a little noisy and the wash basin is outside the washroom.

Nice hotel in a great location. Room was big and clean, nice bathroom and very comfortable beds. View from our room wasn’t a feature - for our room type it was random what you got as a view, I would recommend the hotel charges slightly more for ocean view rooms so customers can pick that. Unfortunately the pool was closed for scheduled cleaning on our one full day there, so recommend contacting hotel or scouring the fine print for pool closed dates. We did use the pool the afternoon we arrived and it was very nice.
