Honestly everything from start to finish was great about this hotel. Employees spoke english, rooms were spacious, nice and modern. Location was in sendai station with malls, food and sightseeing everywhere.
Sendai is also the home of gyutan. Try it, honestly.
If I had something to complain about it would be that one of the 3 elevators only go to the 3rd floor and not 1st.
The hotel is conveniently located near the station, with a large shopping mall nearby. There is an onsen and a restaurant in the hotel itself, but the breakfast cost more than stated in the description.
The rooms are equipped with a shower, TV, refrigerator, air conditioner, and dehumidifier, and the beds are quite comfortable. Pajamas are provided, and other amenities can be picked up at the reception if needed
This is my second time at the GranBach and will always be my hotel of choice if I return to Sendai.
The staff are excellent, the hotel is spotless, and the Japanese breakfast is a work of art.

Overall, the stay was decent. The hotel's location wasn't as close to Sendai Station as I had expected; it's not directly adjacent. The service staff were polite, but their attention to detail seemed lacking. We booked for two adults and one child, and this was confirmed during check-in. Yet, only two pillows were provided in the room. By the time we realized, it was too late to ask for more, so we simply made do.
Other hotels generally handle things better; for instance, they often place stored luggage in the room prior to guest arrival. While some hotels count 12-year-olds as adults and provide full amenities for three, even if a child isn't officially counted in the guest number, non-chargeable items like extra pillows are usually provided in appropriate quantities.
On the positive side, breakfast exceeded our expectations significantly. We had read reviews suggesting it wasn't great, so perhaps our low expectations made us find it quite satisfactory.
One more unsatisfactory detail: upon entering our room, we found the toilet wasn't very clean. I had to clean it myself before using it, and I hope the housekeeping staff can improve in this area. There's a clear gap when compared to the Hotel Metropolitan in Morioka. If I return to Sendai, I might try the Hotel Metropolitan Sendai East to see if there's a difference, not least because its location is closer to Sendai Station.
Overall, it was a decent stay, but there's certainly room for improvement.
What a find...such a great hotel only a few minutes walk from Sendai JR station. The location makes it easy to explore both Sendai (with a subway station 1 minute away)and further places... we would highly recommend both Matsushima and Yamadera!
The breakfast was great and the staff extremely professional.
Close to JR Sendai station which is connected to 2 malls, Parco & SPal, with lots of food outlets & stores.
15sqm room was small, difficult to fully open suitcases. The bathroom has tight space & the shower tub is too high so need to be careful when stepping in or out & there's no safety rail to hang on to.
The breakfast buffet has roughly same items daily, only minor changes in fruit/vegetable juices & some other items. They provide takeaway boxes for breakfast food to eat in your room or on the trains if you are travelling so that's a big plus.
The first time I went, this hotel was not very easy to find. I used Apple navigation. The result was guided to the city. I walked back and forth with the suitcase for more than an hour. In fact, the hotel was behind the station. Breakfast was average and there was not much to eat. No Chinese service.
While we enjoy everything about the hotel, and it is super convenient next to Sendai JR Station, our check-in experience hasn't been good. The staff can understand and speak very limited English, even with google translator, it is difficult to communicate with them. The room may be small but it is rather comfortable. It also took us sometimes to locate the hotel as we got out from the JR station's North exit, but once on the street, the hotel is very visible.
I use it many times. Time 々, Time 々, the price is very cheap and the cospa is quite high by saying that corona hot water is also included. Considering the price, the facilities in the room are the same, but the bed comforter is easy to mess up and I want you to improve it. Also, the refrigerator room is great.
I wanted you to leave your luggage and asked before check-in.

WWang NgaiMy stay at the hotel was decent. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable enough. The staff was generally polite, but I felt they could have been more attentive. The location was convenient, and the breakfast was satisfactory. Overall, it was a standard experience without any standout features.
张张This hotel, Dongheng, not expensive, the room is not big, but feels at ease, intimate, walking seven or eight minutes from the station, very convenient, breakfast is not rich but enough, very good.
GGuest UserI stayed at the concert discount plan because there was a live performance at Sendai Sun Plaza Hall. After all, it was a short distance from the concert venue, so it was very good that the distance to the accommodation was short after the live. Also, there is a hotel immediately after arriving at the JR Sengoku Line and Sendai Station to Tsutsugaoka Station at one station, and after arriving at the ticket gate, I actually came here for the first time alone, but it is easy to go and understand for those who come for the first time. Is it in a place? I felt it. I was able to rest slowly in the room. I would like to stay if there is a live performance again.
GGuest UserLocation a little away from the centre, no that easy to get to but in a quiet residential area. Very friendly staff with good service. Also allowed to leave baggage after check in. The lady who helped with that also had perfect English. Unfortunately I ended up at a time where the prices were extortionate due to some event happening but this was the most affordably priced option without sacrificing too much, also one of the very few with rooms available at that time too. Happy with this and would recommend if you don't mind a bit of distance to the centre.
GGuest UserThis time I chose this hotel for the purpose of watching baseball. It was close to the stadium and the staff were very friendly. However, it was a little difficult to understand the location.
The parking lot can be parked until 18:00 on the check-out day, so I was able to take a leisurely tour of Sendai even after checking out!
GGuest UserIt seemed to have been renewed, it was very clean and the room was large and I could rest comfortably. It was convenient because it was close to the east exit of the station. Unfortunately, the site displayed the breakfast price of 1050 yen, but the price at check-in was 2000 yen. I was disappointed that I didn't know it because I said 2000 yen in the application just before. Other than that, I was able to spend comfortably.
GGuest UserIndependent of a building, very close to Sendai Station. The room is quite large, bigger than similar hotels in Tokyo. The front desk service is good and can communicate in English. There is an Indian restaurant on the first floor, you can buy it for breakfast, we did not buy, because there are more choices in Sendai Station. Suitable for living with children. It is recommended that Ito's beef tongue in Sendai Station, the first evaluation of the Japanese network, is indeed well-deserved, recommended thick cut
KKMThe room is large and suitable for family accommodation. The parking lot is free parking. The disadvantage is that the traffic location is not good. No on-site personnel need to log in to the tenant data. The process is cumbersome and not suitable for the elderly. In addition, because it is a pet-friendly facility, it is not recommended if you mind.
