While the room itself was compact, the bathroom and toilet area felt relatively spacious. The shower and bathtub were combined in one area, with the toilet in a separate, adjacent room, which was very convenient. Upon check-in, the front desk offered a selection of bath salts, with a variety of scents to choose from. Controls for lights, air conditioning, and even requesting room cleaning were all handled via a bedside touchscreen, which was simple and intuitive to operate. Breakfast was also fantastic! It featured many local specialties from Miyagi Prefecture, and I really enjoyed putting together my own 'Date Breakfast' each morning. We were so exhausted from sightseeing every day that I didn't get many chances to photograph the hotel, only the breakfast.
The room itself was remodel, the rest of the area like bathroom and general area shows its age. But as with all hotel in Japan even when the building is old, the facility maangement is always top notch that everything is kept spotless. Meaning while the style of the decor is older everything is always like mint. Cannot get more central location its always next to the busier street of Sendai and few min walk to the train station. the triple room with 3 beds is perfect for our family of 4.
A nice little hotel, conveniently located near the Sendai Station and is easy to find. The artificial public hot bath, though small, is nice to get rid of fatigue after a day's tour. The breakfast place is a bit small but the food is very nice with sashimi. A bit disappointed though as they didn't serve beef tongue curry (beef curry instead) on the day of my stay, but overall quite a good hotel and will book again if I ever visit Sendai again.

Great location! Few minutes walk from Sendai station and surround with lots of shops, restaurants and department store. There are 7-eleven and Starbucks at the first floor. The room is very nice. Everything is new, clean, with good space for two 28” luggage to open at the same time and we still can walk around the room. The staffs were so nice and provided prompt support. We found problem about the hair dryer at midnight and the staff changed a new one to us immediately.
There are free amenities that you could pick at lobby.
Highly recommend and would definitely choose this hotel if we have a chance to visit Sendai again 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Hotel Monterey is centrally located just outside the Sendai Station and is easily seen after you exit the station. The staff was very courteous and helpful at the time of check in. Language could be an issue but is easily manageable. I was offered a single room in a lower floor and on my request for a room on the higher floor, without any hesitation I was allotted a double room on the higher floor.
The ambience of the restaurant for breakfast was great and the variety of food served catered to Japanese and western. The breakfast was delicious.
I had to extend my stay and this was also done seamlessly without any issues.
Overall a great hotel centrally located with plenty of shopping around. If I come to Sendai again, I will return to Hotel Monterey if I visit Sendai again.
At Breakfast buffet they serve food with all the allergy ingredients but it was not at all clearly mentioned if it has pork or beef or chicken.
Example : there was a potato salad where it says they do not have pork in it but found out that they put pork sausage inside them while eating and they will will let you know after you ask them.
If they would have mentioned clearly it would be better to reconsider when you have allergy issues.
I feel that was poorly organized.
Please be careful with the allergy issues before eating during the breakfast and ask them in details about the ingredients if you feel confused.
All amenities were available in the lobby, and it felt like you could get whatever you needed whenever you wanted. I went by car, and although there was parking, it wasn't free. Also, if you had a large car, you had to park behind the station, and there was a small additional fee.
Other than that, it was clean, just like a typical business hotel.
It was a perfect stay. Everything including amenities, services, beds, facilities was awesome. Room is very clean and new, employees are so kind.
Especially, we had left our belongings in the safe, and realized it after we arrived at tokyo. We made a call to this hotel and the manager handled this situation very professionally!
They made a delivery to tokyo, which arrived early in the next morning, so we are now at narita airport without stopping by sendai again!!
Definitely willing to stay here again if I have a chance to visit sendai again. Thank you so much!
Facilities: A typical Japanese business hotel. They provide self-service skincare products for guests to choose from, even including face masks and bath salts. The breakfast was fantastic and offered excellent value for money.
Hygiene: Overall decent, but there were some overlooked spots in terms of cleanliness. For stays of three consecutive nights, room cleaning is mandatory, but the cleaning quality was only average.
Environment: The hotel is conveniently located right next to the Sendai Morning Market.
Service: The service was standard, nothing remarkable either way.

Uutsuki10 minutes of walk away from sendai station. Luup and several convenient stores are available nearby so it’s very convenient. Quiet at night, smoking room and all amenities available on 2/F. Because it has kids friendly facilities, I saw many family travellers. The room is new, clean and big.

GGuest UserThe station is within a 5-8 minute walk, making it convenient to various attractions
There are not many people during the cherry blossom season
There is Zenjiro across the street, which is very delicious.
The station is well connected to all four districts and has many trains.
FFang0820Hotel where you can watch the sunrise from bed.
Around 4:30 AM, I went to the restroom and suddenly noticed a light shining through the window. I initially thought it was just the lights from a nearby building. However, the light started changing colors, and it was absolutely stunning – it turned out to be the sunrise! I quickly went back to bed, grabbed my phone, snapped a photo, and then took a short video. Afterward, I happily went back to sleep.
For this three-night stay in Sendai, I booked a standard room at KOKO Hotel (Sendai Citizen's Park). The hotel's location is excellent, near Kotodai-Koen Station. It's about a 15-minute walk, passing Aoba-dori Station and Hirose-dori Station along the way.
The room wasn't huge, but there was enough space between the two beds to open a suitcase. The bathroom was a standard modular unit, very neat and clean. My room number was 1018.
海海蛙汀The hotel boasts an excellent central location, right next to the vibrant morning market and Senjiro. DHC brand toiletries were provided, which was a nice touch. It's conveniently located a 6-8 minute walk from the train station, with numerous bus stops easily accessible. The only minor drawback is that it's an older hotel that has undergone renovations, so while refreshed, some of the interior furnishings still show their age.
Wwxy3393Booked a single non-smoking room for two nights. The lobby is on the 3rd floor and my room is on the 7th floor. The hotel sign looks quite eye-catching on the pedestrian street. From Sendai Station, walk along Nakakucho Pedestrian Street to Ichibancho Pedestrian Street, then walk along Ichibancho toward Hirose-dori. You will see the hotel after you pass Hirose-dori. There is a large 7-11 supermarket on the first floor of the hotel, which is very convenient.
WwendyIt was my first time to stay in a capsule hotel. I was kind of doubtful about the security and clearness of it. But after my visit, this worry was gone. The place was small in size but have all the things you’ll need, and the sleeping environment was pretty comfy. (Although if you are sensitive to noise, be careful that someone sleeping next to you might snore)

GGuest UserThe hotel is conveniently located a 15-minute walk from the train station, and a Co-op supermarket is a 5-minute walk away for convenient shopping. Free hot and cold coffee, tea, and carbonated drinks are available 24 hours a day. I especially appreciated the lobby's desks with power outlets, perfect for those on the go to rest and organize documents. The front desk staff was attentive and helpful. During my three-night stay, I didn't use the public baths. The best part was the 11:00 AM check-out time. This hotel will definitely be my top choice for my next trip to Sendai.
GGuest UserI decided to stay here because it was about a 10 minute walk from the station. It felt old, but I think it was well kept. The shampoo provided in the bathroom is a conditioner, so women and those with long hair should bring their own shampoo and treatment. I did. There are no amenities such as lotion. Although I was staying alone, the room was large and the bed was large enough so I slept soundly. I would like to work with you again if I have the opportunity. thank you very much.
GGuest UserThe hotel arrival was late, but the reception was good
Breakfast was good and good
I think the bathroom is quite small (the person with good physique is severe)
It's enough to sleep.
