i thoroughly enjoyed my recent stay at Hampton in Selma, Alabama. The staff was extremely cordial, helpful and professional. The environment felt welcoming and safe. The facilities were clean. The morning breakfast was plentiful with a variety of choices. I will book this hotel when I return to visit family and friends.

While traveling on the road with my son we had to stop over night at the Hampton inn Selma. Moe ( not sure of the spelling ) was there to greet us. It was late and she was so accommodating. No request was a problem. It was a quick over nite. We left early and 2 hours away from Selma. I discovered my laptop missing !!!! I said a prayer to st Anthony and called the hotel to see if they could see if I left it in the room. St Anthony delivered his blessing with a living saint called St Vanessa. Vanessa answered the phone and said she was alone and had to wait for house keeping but she would call me back. And yes !!! St Vanessa found it. She was so so helpful and kind and honest. She provided the name of a service to reunite me with my laptop and appointment book. Oh and the place was also clean. But this is all about how wonderful Miss Vanessa and Moe are !!! Thank you Vanessa.

Was leery of staying here because the rating was so low, but don’t believe it. Not sure what happened with the travelers who experienced cold water showers but that was not our experience - the shower was great! Plenty of hot water and awesome pressure. It’s possible it’s been recently renovated because the bathroom was spotless and everything seemed new. Our stay was great. The staff was very friendly, everyone was helpful, and the grounds were very clean. We had two small dogs with us and there wasn’t much of an area to take them out other than the bark-filled flower beds. The breakfast was the usual you will find at Hiltons (eggs, oatmeal, waffles, yogurt, toast, etc). Overall very pleased and would highly recommend. Don’t believe the negative reviews, you won’t be disappointed. Wanted to be sure and leave a review so people weren’t swayed like I was.

The staff was very nice and professional. The room was clean. The elevator broke down and for a disabled person that was a nightmare!

Stay was fine. As a Hilton member I was disappointed that I was unable to get a later check out. I asked for 1 pm instead of 11.

I didn't like the fact that the room didn't have an ironing board, and that people was smoking **** outside my room and it was coming through the vent giving me a serious headache... plus the beds could have been a little softer, and one more sitting chair in the room other than that the stay was good.
