What an amazing place! Richard gave us an amazing introduction to the history of the building, which has been beautifully restored into a comfortable abode. We stayed in The Millery, with the most amazing chandelier I have ever seen! The personal touches of homemade preserves, farm fresh eggs, port and fruit made it feel like we were staying with friends. Everything was cleverly designed to provide a relaxing stay. Full kitchen, lounge with a beautiful fireplace.. even a record player! The bathroom was modern and a delight to be in. For me the highlight was the 100 year old outdoor clawfoot bath that overlooked the private garden.

Most beautifully restored property with all the amenities you will need. We had a brief but memorable stay here in December 2024 visiting family nearby. Blown away by the provisions etc left for us on arrival. Idyllic location if you want peace and quiet but easy access to nearby amenities and wine!!

We had high expectations when we booked the Old Chaff Mill as I had read the reviews however it totally exceeded them. This is such a unique building in a fantastic location that has been lovingly restored by Richard & Bernice. Its their attention to detail that makes the stay so much more pleasurable. The building is magical and we had 4 wonderful nights there. We are planning to come back to Australia in 2026 so will stay at the Old Chaff Mill again when we visit the region. Richard and Bernice are very engaging and excellent hosts. Would highly recommend its definitely worth a visit.

We travel extensively and rate this B&B as amongst the best we have stayed at anywhere in the world. The owners who live nearby make certain that all that one could wish for is provided e.g food, condiments, cooking ,utensils, and everything is style, from the beautifully appointed living room to the comfortable king bed. The architectural design and conversion from a ruined mill is amazing and far more than one could expect. It is situated in a vineyard with sun streaming in from the north and a beautiful private garden with seat and a Weber Q . We loved this place. Book now or you will miss out.

What a fantastic property, overlooking vineyards framed by the distant hills, and just 5 minutes from beaches boasting spectacular sunsets across the ocean. The apartment presentation is flawless, with all the modern comforts in an historical setting that adds depth and warmth to the experience.

From the start of our experience to the very end, The Old Chaff Mill offers so much. We,along with our friends from the UK stayed in both the Millery and the Granary. Both places are independent of each other but have an adjoining door. From the initial booking to answering all my questions , to the friendly and warm welcome, Richard and Bernice go our of their way to accommodate. So much thought and consideration has gone into each and every detail in this very special place. From the homemade jams, wine, flowers from the garden, eggs from their chickens to the homemade bath bombs, choice of shampoo and of course all the luxuries you would expect from a stay of this calibre. Did I mention the bath overlooking the vineyard, the fireplace, the age and history, the story behind it all, the views, the country location, the list goes on !!!! We did'nt, want to leave !

Couldn't have been happier with our stay in this stunning private Retreat ' The Old Chaff . We had high expectations and this property certainly delivered. The attention to detail through out is exceptional along with cleanliness. Owners Richard and Bernice have though of everything to make your stay exceptionally comfortable and more then happy to help with anything if required. Would love to go back again!
