This hotel is very outdated and in need of an upgrade its like its stuck in the 70/80s very disappointed especially for the price for a night. The decor is dark and dinghy and the place feels dirty. The pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable matress was hard, we had a travel cot for the little one which had an awful smell tonit there were stains on the netting and no linen provided for this. The wardrobe had bits of wood missing the shower was awful the head was like something from an American school dressing room small old round head the carpet was filthy over all I would not return I feel we were over charged at 77 per night the staff were lovely and the food was nice but that's where the nice bits end

Went today was looking so forward to going to treat my husband for his birthday . Walked into the reception, which wasn't too bad the receptionist was really nice and friendly . Our room was on the 2nd floor , and when we walked into it found the bedding was discusting and dirty . The carpet was that old, and the furniture was antique . Also the dressing table was broken in afew places . For £106 for 1 night, I expected a little better . Went downstairs and had a word with the general manager about getting some of the money back after her took a deposit out of it . They refused and was really rude saying he didn't want to give anything back . Went upstairs where my husband fetched the cases downstairs and told reception we wasn't stopping . Asked a lady at the reception to ask the general manager to ask for our breakfast money back he wouldn't pay it back but refused to come see us . Unless you want to be unhappy and they won't give you a refund I wouldn't even bother going . Spoke to a few of our friends today the restaurant food is microwave meals discusting . The way we were treated with the general manager was appaling

We have stopped at the Wishing Well in the past and thought it OK, but that was several years ago. Sadly, our most recent stay at the hotel was not a pleasant one. The hotel is now looking very “tired” and is in desperate need of refurbishment. The rooms a very shabby with missing veneer from the units, threadbare carpet, loose wobbly toilet seat, grubby shower head, sticky floor in the bathroom. The corridor leading to our room had big dips in the floor and again the carpet was grubby and threadbare. Breakfast was a joke, desperately under staffed in the restaurant. No cups, no glasses, no orange juice no bread for the toaster, no side plates, no ketchup, clay cold undrinkable coffee. The poor girl behind the counter was running round taking orders and trying to refurbish the drinks etc. but seemed unable to cope. £10.95 for a “full English” - what a waste of money. It took ages to come and then they had to apologise because they’d run out of black pudding (one hour after opening). The breakfast was undercooked with the cheapest of sausages, practically raw tomatoes and cold baked beans that seemed to have come straight from the tin unheated. The only saving grace were the staff, who all seemed friendly. At £80 to £95 a night it is far from good value. We won’t be stopping there again.

I have stayed here several times over the last year or so on work trips. This is a contractors hotel. There is always a problem with the room you will experience at least one of the following. All staff from the top down have an attitude. Dripping tap. Key card will not work. Room door will not lock from the inside. Hair shavings left in bath from previous guest. Trim missing from the desk in the room. Food and sweets under the bed. On the positive side there are always rooms available! The Wi-Fi is normally working.

Probably one of the worst hotels I've stayed in to be perfectly honest, It was like staying in Fawlty towers. Funny smell in reception greeting you didn't bode well for our stay & my other half was trying to make light heartedness of the place by saying we're only sleeping there lol. Receptionist although friendly & cheery enough obviously wasn't told the restaurant situation, we checked in about half 5 normally if there's a problem with food the reception would tell you upon check in but not a peep here. We put our stuff in our room & going through the corridors you can tell it's really dated & hasn't been upgraded from what looks like a mish mash of budget chain hotel companies have seen ownership through the years. The door didn't seem to like our card it took 5 attempts to gain access & once inside the room was quite large which was surprising & clean but a large wet patch in front of the wardrobe/TV stand/desk/dressing table greeted us like there had been a flood from above but the ceiling was intact so we couldn't work out where it had come from. Some of the lights in the room didn't work either. We had been traveling most of the day so we went down to the restaurant about 6pm that looks a lot better than the hotel decor to be fair & seems a large and family orientated area but looks like another Mish mash of hotel chain interior. The restaurant wasn't busy when we ordered food be lucky if there were 20 customers in it, my other half ordered us food, our order was accepted and nothing was said about delays about 5 mins later we heard them tell someone at the bar ordering food that there was an hour's wait on food due to staff shortages which was quite surprising given how quiet it was on a Saturday evening. Someone else in our party joined us & we told them that apparently there's an hour's wait on food so they promptly put their food order in yet nothing was said again to them about a delay in food. Another 15 or so minutes passed & someone else in our party ordered food to be told there was no more food available this was about 6.45pm on a Saturday evening it was really bizarre. The guy & myself offered to go into the kitchen and just make him a sandwich but we were refused lol. We sat opposite the kitchen I thought there was only one person in there I could see a guy with a black polo shirt on & that was it but the music was pumping out like they were having a party. My other half said no there's about 5 of them I can see right in the kitchen & then another guy came out & it looked like they'd been mucking about in the kitchen because floured handprints were all over his shirt. All the while we were still waiting on our starters. It took an hour for us to get our starters then another hour to get our mains. The others in our party who were lucky enough to order food got their food orders before us even though they ordered after us. The guy who couldn't get food ended up going to the garage over the road for food. We probably would've

We arrived and room was filthy. Had not been cleaned, I went to reception and was advised cleaning staff had left but he would get me a hoover from the cleaning room. Was not offered another room. I was handed some spray and a pillow case to clean the room ourselves. My husband had already cleaned bathroom with baby wipes when I was down at reception before photos were taken. We have had correspondence with hotel but have ignored messages regarding a refund and have not apologised. Whole hotel smelt foul, corridors felt quite unsafe with poor lighting. Photo of pillow case was from cleaning the bedside tables. Bed sheets were covered in hair and crumbs.

Terrible experience. Noise all night with doors banging, rooms too hot and can't have windows open due to noise on the industrial estate. £110 worth of jewellery was stolen from our room, very upsetting. Never ever stay here and we are never going back.

We stood waiting and staff walked passed and ignored us,eventually seated with no talking from server just pointing, unclean table, food all over floor, furniture covered in food stains, two items we wanted were unavailable, when food came one meal was missed off, after much discussion the person who took the order left it off, offered to make me one but would be 15 mins so didn’t bother,we had to ask for cutlery,no one seemed to know what they were doing, tables were left dirty for a long time all around us,could hear other table’s complaining, food wasn’t too bad but mostly dry and over cooked, when I walk into somewhere where I’m spending my hard earned money the lack of greeting should have made me leave,I will not be going again or recommending this place to anyone e.
