We absolutely loved our stay at Nipponia Mino. We stayed in a two story apartment in the converted warehouse across from the main hotel and it was so beautiful. Each room had thoughtful stunning details - beautiful art on washi paper, a gorgeous soaking cedar tub, and antique furnishings. The host was incredibly helpful with suggestions of things to see and places to eat. We went to the soba restaurant across the street and he walked us there so we knew where it was (which was very lucky because otherwise we would've missed it.) He also rode his bike to our accomodations to make sure we found it and show us around. I loved the Nipponia. If we return to Japan, we'll definitely visit their other properties. Mino is also such a special place. The people are incredibly friendly and welcoming and there's a lot to see and experience for such a small town -- from the paper latern museum to the centuries-old sake distillery. Don't miss the paper merchant's house, which has been turned into a museum, with tours given in English.

During the three consecutive holidays, I used it during the most crowded time, so I became a seat in the lounge next door, but away from the hustle and bustle of the cooking counter, breakfast while looking at the garden on the spacious sofa, It was good to relax and enjoy coffee. I would like to use it if I have the opportunity to stay in Gifu.

We stayed on the second day of our solo trip to Shiga and Gifu. It is a very convenient location, a few minutes walk from JR Gifu station and MEITETSU Gifu station. The front desk and the large communal bath restaurant are a little irregular on the ６ floor. The large communal bath is a simple alkaline hot spring, so the hot water is slimy, and I liked it because it was like a hot spring. I thought it would be better to eat in a small bowl and tongs than to divide it from a platter. Satisfaction is high. If you present a parking ticket to the front desk, you can settle the accommodation fee and parking fee, so it will be convenient for those who need a receipt.

The hotel locates just next to the train station, it is extremely convenient. The staff is very helpful, they help my brother bring our luggages to the station when we all gone for shopping. The facility is very new, the noise reduction function of the windows are perfect. It is so quiet even our rooms are jut next to the train rails. One point needs to appreciate is the basket for towels, it is so well prepared and detail minded that I just need to pick it up and then can go to the hot spring directly. I particularly enjoy the resting room at the public hot spring area. The environment is clean, tidy and relax. For the breakfast, the type of food is just enough, not too many and not too few. The quality is good in general. Just one suggestion for improvement, please provide a weight machine for luggages. It will be more convenient for the shoping lovers like us to check if our luggages are overweight. Please kindly consider.
