I’ve had a horrific experience at this hotel. The reception staff are unfriendly, arrogant and extremely rude. This claims to be a luxurious hotel, when the towels are dirty with other people’s hair tangled, bedsheets are full of stains and reception almost never answers the phone. They tell you they provide you with free water, but they give you only one bottle and they won’t bring you more unless you return the empty fillable bottles they provide. I came here as a tourist and wanted to relax and enjoy my vacation, but I ended up feeling stressed and devastated with everything. Runaway from this hotel and don’t spend extra for a negative memorable experience that is far far away from luxury.

L'hotel è abbastanza vicino all'aeroporto (circa 15 minuti in macchina), ma non è nemmeno lontano dal centro, quindi è una buona opzione per visitare Muscat. In generale ha le caratteristiche di un hotel di alto livello. Belle le zone comuni, ottima la colazione molto varia e abbondante. La zona piscina l'abbiamo solo vista ma non ne abbiamo potuto usufruire perchè il tempo non è stato bello. C'è un parcheggio interno con i concierge che ti portano e ti ridanno la macchina. Nel complesso ci tornerei. Attenzione che le finestre non si aprono, come quasi in tutti gli hotel di Muscat. Questo però è uno dei pochi hotel che ho contattato che mi ha permesso, su richiesta, di firmare un modulo di responsabilità. Così è stata sbloccata una finestra piccola, che comunque consentiva un ricambio dell'aria non basato su aria condizionata. Nella nostra camera c'è un piccolo angolo cottura con il frigo, le pentole e i fornelli. Mancano però i piatti e le posate, così come gli essenziali (detersivo piatti, straccio, ecc.). Questo ha reso di fatto molto complicato l'utilizzo dell'angolo cottura che per noi era determinante.

The team at Mani Muscat were pretty good. The housekeeping staff were awesome, and the lovely lady from the Day Spa gives a wonderful massage. I asked for quite a late checkout and it was no problem. The only thing that I did get a bit annoyed about was the mini bar which did not keep anything cold at all and the maintenance chap I called argued that was how it was supposed to be because 'it's a mini bar, not a refrigerator'. He said he would swap it over for a refrigerator, but never did. Some things to consider; the hot water takes a very long time to get hot in the bathroom and I could not change the room temperature on the thermostat from 21 degrees no matter what I did. The bed was great, the pillows very nice. The hotel is not too far from the international airport but is quite a distance from the city centre and main tourist attractions, having the shopping mall next door was a bonus.
