Hampton Inn Sedona

Loved this place ! Very cozy and reasonable

The Sedona Hampton Inn was the most disappointing and disgusting Hilton hotel we have ever seen! We are Hilton Diamond Members and Hilton AMEX holders, so we naturally look first to Hilton facilities as we travel. Hilton does not own the Sedona location, as it is franchised. Hilton should drop these owners of this franchise. This particular hotel is a "stain" (literally) on the Hilton banner! We tried 4 times to contact the franchise owners. On the 4th attempt they still did not give me the company contact person, they simply referred me back to the kind and frustrated hotel manager. The staff is courteous, but they, too are frustrated. They report their needs and issues to ownership. By the condition of this building one can assume all requests are ignored, just like my attempt to reach the owners.
With taxes and a $17 per night parking fee (despite burned out lot lights,) our tab was $322 per night to stay in this grungy facility! 
Hilton corporate HAS been notified with pictures of the burned out parking lot lights, the strobing parking lot light, the strobing entrance sconce, the dangerously loose shower grab bar, the dirty, stained rugs, the torn seams, the dangerously lifting seams, the illegal 2 damaged exit lights, the peeling paint, the pulled away wall moldings, the greasy breakfast room chairs( that I would not give away for free on a Craigslist curb alert,) the torn out chunk of carpeting and the broken ice machine! Simply disgusting! Our stay was in September of 2024. Looking back over various travel site reviews, many of these issues have been prevalent for over 18 months, and likely longer after seeing the level of disrepair!
Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere!

PROS • Hotel Clerk & staff were friendly • Hotel conveniently located off main ***** • Free and plenty of parking & breakfast • Hotel lobby is nice CONS •The entire hotel needs a mayor renovation • The pool & Hot tub were dingy looked pretty dirty. Just needs to be maintained, repainted or reconstructed. • The tub & sink were clogged (needs plumbing) • The sink countertop & shower hardware were so deteriorated, broken, barely hanging • Breakfast is basic & typical: eggs potato’s sausage/bacon but needs to be restocked faster

This Hampton Inn is centrally located on 89A. Plenty local restaurants and stores. The house keeping kept are room clean. Being a Disable Veteran I notice ease of access. The hotel fire exit sign is broken also the Handi-Cap signs are painted over? The now charge $17.00 per night for parking, have been staying herre for several years.

Positive was location and free to use products in the bathroom. Had mini fridge and microwave, which as nice as well snacks to purchase. Breakfast (eggs and bacon) did not taste good so didn’t end of eating it. Room and carpet are outdated, didn’t feel clean and bathroom floor still had a tag and what looked like a dead bug, telling me that it wasn’t swept or cleaned. Being charged for a “parking fee” for a small town, with a parking lot with no lines and no security! Pool needed skimming, debris and leaves in it. Also, added hotel tax, why? Staff were okay but nothing to praise, sorry. The price was way too expensive for what is offered.

The hotel room was space and clean. The location is great. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast had a nice variety. The lobby common room was inviting for relaxing as well as a comfortable place to work remotely. I did not notice while booking that parking is $17 per day. The information is shown on the website but I overlooked it. I hate paying for parking. Plus, it was totally unnecessary as there was plenty of parking.

Horrible experience. Just wanted a cool room after 10 hours driving. There was a sign over the thermostat that read “Wall unit temporarily out of service. Please operate from wall unit.” Called the front desk, and the solution was a box fan that “works very well.” Not worth the $166 nightly rate + $17 “parking fee.” Felt like a Days Inn or Motel 6. Terrible experience with the HILTON brand. Hilton has fallen in quality due to Corporate’s inattention. Will not return!!

I stayed for one night at the Hampton Inn Sedona with my husband and son celebrating father’s day. We travelled from Los Angeles. To our surprise the hotel is doing some tub reglacing in a large amount of random rooms and there is smell stronger than pain all through the hotel, mainly in the rooms. My husband has asthma and so we went down to the lobby to inquiry and I asked if they knew the odor is coming to the other rooms and they said yes and that there is nothing they can do. Just like that. The main AC is temporarily shut off so that the smell does not go through the vents and have to use the old window A.C. unit which does not cool down enough in a 110 degree weather. Horrible experience. Is this even legal to book rooms with this hazardous odor in the air and not warning people? I suggest you forewarn people about your on going renovation as this can be very harmful.
