Hyatt Vacation Club at Pinon Pointe, Sedona

Great location with amazing views. Our room was very clean. Parking was not an issue. Check-in was a breeze. Shops and restaurants are convenient.

Do not book if you plan on sleeping in!!! The door that connects with the room next door is very thin, you could hear word for word of the plans the couple next door had planned for the day.

I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding a recent experience with the Sedona Hyatt hotel. I had booked a two-night stay at this property in connection with a wedding. Unfortunately, on the night of our scheduled stay, my daughter was admitted to the emergency room due to a serious medical condition. I immediately contacted the hotel to inform the staff of the situation and submitted the relevant hospital documentation to support my request. The front desk staff informed me that the reservation was non-refundable but mentioned that, in emergency situations, management may offer accommodations or exceptions. I was connected to the manager, who nonetheless refused to issue any refund despite the unforeseen and critical nature of the situation. Given the circumstances, I believe a refund would have been a reasonable and compassionate response. Emergencies of this nature are rare and unpredictable, and I had no choice but to prioritize my daughter’s health. As a loyal Hyatt customer in the past, I am truly disheartened by how this was handled. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I will need to reconsider my future business with Hyatt and will instead choose to support companies that demonstrate greater empathy and flexibility in times of crisis.

Second time staying in past two months and again, room was dirty and things not working. Dishes dirty and didn’t empty recycling from last people that stayed (dirty trash). Sheets were dirty. Ice maker, fire place and phone didn’t work. This is the second time for recycling not being emptied. I called about the items above and the phone was so full of static they hung up and didn’t call back. I walked down to front office. After describing these things the guy just looked at me and said “Do you want these fixed”. I said YES! He said well the phone may be a bigger problem. I said just send me a text to communicate back and forth because last time I got one when I arrived and this time I didn’t. He said he would I still didn’t get one. Except when they said the Internet was down. The maintenance guy came and replaced the ice machine and said the phone was just a matter of having someone call back and presto, it was fixed. So weird! This place is not ran well. Cleaning is gross. I decided to clean all dishes, sheets and towels myself. Threw the trash outside. All wood doors have cracks that need to be filled with wood filler or replaced. Bugs come in so watch out for those!!! Yes I had some bugs inside too.

Nice location in the heart of downtown Sedona. The room (studio) is very small. We had 4 people and expected two beds. Not the case. One bed and a pull out couch and once open you could not even walk around the room. Very frustrating when asked to get a bigger room which I was willing to pay for the front desk could not help. They said I would need to call into central reservations. Some folks at the front desk were not so nice. No hot water. But they came fast to turn it back on. I would stay here again but in a bigger room! Unless their are just two people.
