Delightful Visit: The Inn at Seaside My husband and I enjoyed five nights at The Inn at Seaside. We were in Seaside to play in our favorite bridge tournament of the year, held right across the street at the Convention Center. The location could not have been better. Our room (#319) was on the third floor and had a lovely view of the river. We were pleased with the full kitchenette, supplied with dishes, flatware, pots and pans, a cook top, and even a dishwasher. Although we did not use the appliances, it is great to know they are there, and we may bring groceries on our next visit. The room also had an extra sink/vanity area outside the bathroom, so two people could be brushing their teeth or getting ready to go out at the same time. The wifi was fast and reliable, and there was plenty of free parking. The Inn supplies large containers of Beekman’s bath products attached to the shower wall, a great eco-improvement over those tiny plastic bottles. It would be great if they added a recycle bin to the room for people to dispose of newspapers, paper bags, etc. An unexpected treat: the hotel supplied a pizza party for the bridge players staying there. It was a fun opportunity to socialize with some of the other players. There are also cookies every afternoon for all guests, and a large library of DVDs available for borrowing. An area that could be improved is the pool. It is small but OK for a refreshing dip. However, there is no changing room, so one must either return to the room with a dripping swimsuit, or change into dry clothes in full view of anyone who might be passing in the hallway. We also noticed that the bottom of the pool needed to be cleaned. Overall, though, this is a wonderful property where the staff seems to take pride in their jobs. We will stay here again next year and have no hesitation in recommending the Inn at Seaside.
