I have stayed in many hotels and motels. Depending on the stay I might stay in whatever fits from a 2 star to 4 star resort- not too many 5 stars. I have stayed at Travelodge many times, but also spent a week in a penthouse in Vegas. My point is I don't have high expectations, but expect what I pay for, what is advertised, and to be treated with respect. This place is a run down motel you would find in a slum. The door led right to the street. Best of all, the parking is non-existent. We parked in a spot and parked a little on the the very small sidewalk, the women that works here BERATED- I am not exaggerating she was absolutely disrespectful to both of us - we walked in to ask for ice and they said to go buy it at 7-11 and yelled at us for "parking my car over into one of her spots" It was the side walk- how can you own the sidewalk? She made us move the car a block away to what seemed to be an abandoned house's driveway. Later that night, someone was parked on the sidewalk- so she told them that was a spot. No Ice, no parking and the room is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO bad. The blanket was 50 years old and as thin as a paper towel. All night someone walked up and back and up and back and it was VERY loud so I got like 2 hours sleep for my 13 hour drive back to Chicago- the point of a hotel is to sleep and we even went back at 9 PM to get extra sleep. I never write reviews but after my 13 hour drive I mustered the energy to write this to save others the pain of staying here. The whole experience felt like a bait-and-switch; the photos online are staged- one is literally photoshopped to show a part of the MOTEL that does not exist., because what we walked into was nothing short of a horror show. Plus when I went to leave no one was in the office and I had a 13 hour drive. There are no swipes, just an old key that you have to return- my neighbor left hers in the door all night and there were a group of guys that appeared to be gang members hanging out all night. I was told to leave my key in an opened mailbox- wow that is not safe. I wouldn’t wish this place on my worst enemy."
