Driving from out of state to take a cruise, Seabrook holiday inn was the perfect place to meet family and get ready for the next day’s boarding. Great staff clean rooms, a pool and awesome breakfast. If your coming in for a cruise it’s only a 40 min easy drive to port parking.

“Staying with friends and family at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel in Houston was a great experience while traveling as a tourist—especially when visiting the NASA Center.” IHG hotels are always preferable hotel and have meet my expectations.

Avoid this hotel. Some staff were friendly and customer oriented, but most were not. Asked to clean my room, but it was not done. Asked if I could obtain some coins on the hotel bill for the laundry machines: not possible. One day breakfast did not open at the usual hour, but no apologies. Nothing is cosy in this hotel. Everything supplied to eat breakfast (plates, cups, cutlery, ...) is thrown away in the garbage. Strange to see that this is still possible given the major challenges that our planet and the US are facing. Holiday Inn management can still go a long way to make their hotels sustainable (reduce, reuse, recycle) .

After arriving and checking in, we found a dead roach in the shower. We asked the front desk if housekeeping could come take care of it and she said there is no housekeeping, but she’ll take care of it. There was one woman working the entire hotel. She was very nice. We also found that our room had no towels, so she had to bring us towels. The room was an accessibility room so it had a sliding door to the bathroom to accommodate a wheelchair, but that sliding door was broken both the handle on the inside of the door, and it was broken off the bottom rail or pin that the door was supposed to slide upon. Finally, there was a light in the room that we never found the switch to turn off so we slept in the room with one of the lights on the entire night.

I will never stay here again! I need refunded or comped some of the money. Horrible stay. Checked at 3:30 am and was chastised for not calling ahead to say we were gonna be late.Was given keys to room 320 and when we got up to it the door was not shut all the way. We walked in without using the key card. It looked clean enough so we stayed. There was no shower curtain in the room and when I went to try to call the service desk the phone was not plugged in. I plugged it in but it still did not work. I called on my cell phone to ask for a shower curtain. The next day I asked the cleaning cart lady on my floor that we needed towels, wash rags and changed bed linens. She stated that my room was not on her list and that I would have to tell the front desk that I needed overnight services. So I told the front desk.The lady acted "put out" that I asked for the linens and towels. Upon coming back to the room the bed was made but not changed. I know this because the beds had small stains on them (the reason I asked them to be changed) There were only 2 towels and no wash rags. I go back to the room but my key card does not work. I go to front desk and told her about the room not being locked the first night and she looked alarmed and asked if I had reported that. I unfortunately did not report it that night but was telling them now that you have to really pull the door to close and lock it. Key card expired 2 more times durong our stay. Pancake machine was great but no syrup.
