Absolutely horrible hotel. We walked in and the hotel smelled horrible. Very dirty. We got to our room hoping for better but the whole floor smelled strongly of pot to the point it made my daughter and I sick. Still hoped to go in and have a better result in the room but was left disappointed and grossed out. Sticky door handles and dirty carpets, on top of that the ac unit was so loud that we could hardly hear each other talk. We walked around the very underwhelming attractions and just decided to check out and not stay there. Very disgusting place and very disappointing. Customer service was extremely rude as well when we informed them of the issue and did not offer any support but did give a free pizza if we were to come back.

Apparently, children cannot dress up like wolves at the Great Wolf Lodge in Scottsdale. Management totally broke 7yr old's heart.

Hello, I was trying to book a birthday party at your water park for my daughter. Unfortunately, after a month of attempting to reach someone to make a reservation, I had to give up. I was very disappointed with the lack of response and poor customer service. Sadly, we had to make alternative plans, and my daughter was quite disappointed. I hope you can improve your booking process so other families don’t have the same experience.

Horrible Customer Service! I have been trying for over a month to schedule a birthday party event at the water park coming up in June and thier event manager has not responded to multiple phone calls and email requests. I made once last attempt today to see if I could finalize the birthday party and was still not able to contact anyone. I understand that the event department is under transistion, but after 3 weeks of no response from their team I feel that is unacceptable and at this point they don't want my business. I have decided not to host my daughter's birthday party at the Wolf Lodge because at this point no one has reached out with information to schedule. I wanted to speak to a manager to let them know of this horrible interaction, and they could not even connect me to anyone that would be of help. I will not be giving the Wolf Lodge any of my money anytime soon due to this very poor interaction. I was basically ignored.

San Diego Ca resident. First time at a GWL. Family of 4, with a 6 & 2 yr old, 2 night standard room stay. definitely felt like we should have stayed one more night! Being that we’re often at Disneyland it’s hard for us to measure anything up against Disney. We also visit WDW 1-2 times a year, so our expectations for GWL weren’t up high. WOW, pleasantly surprised! The Arizona location is a fairly new resort, so the rooms and entire hotel is in very new condition. After reading most of the reviews I think the 3 star rating comes from people feeling unhappy with the prices, but the hotel itself is practically new. So I trusted my gut & booked a stay after our Grand Canyon stay. We were definitely planning our next stay at GWL as soon as we got back home. My kids loved it, and my husband and I loved being able to come up and down to our room as needed & getting mid day rest. While also having fun with our kids. The GWL was outstanding, we felt like being at a WDW resort with the level of staff customer care. The rooms were also nicely themed, not overdone like the LEGOLAND hotels which is basically like being in a funhouse room. GWL really does well at keeping the wolf & camping theme throughout without it being overdone. We’re from San Diego so the food etc prices were basically what we are used to seeing in So Cal. I did book a weekday stay so I didn’t pay the outrageous weekend rates. The Wolf pass is definitely worth it if it’s your first time, you’ll get an additional discount in almost all retail purchases just for having it. Breakfast was my only meh moment. It was fine for one morning but definitely they need improvement. It’s a buffet but the food seemed like it had been frozen heated food (except for the made to order omelets/eggs or bacon) MCdonald pancakes are better than theirs. No other offerings like waffles or French toast only the pre frozen silver dollar pancakes. They do offer pastries (but very bland like pre bagged quality pastries) & yogurt, fruit, cereals. Brunch items like macaroni cheese & nuggets for the kids, which helped because they couldn’t eat the chewy pancakes. Overall a fun stay will be back!

I stayed at Great Wolf Lodge Scottsdale in August 2024 and was shocked by the unprofessional and disrespectful treatment I received. Without any clear explanation or prior warning, I was abruptly removed from the property. The only interaction I had was through the resort’s virtual concierge, which I believed to be an automated system — yet that somehow led to my removal. Despite being unwell during my stay, I was given no opportunity to clarify the situation or speak to a manager. I reached out multiple times for an explanation and reimbursement, especially considering the over $500 I paid, but my concerns were ignored. This experience was humiliating, financially damaging, and left me with more questions than answers. Guests deserve better transparency, respect, and accountability from a resort of this reputation. I cannot recommend this location and hope others think twice before booking.
