Fairfield Inn & Suites Scottsbluff

Had to leave early in the morning 3:30am no staff at desk. Door locked behind me when i took my bsg to my car. Key card wouldn't open the door and nobody answered the buzzer. Called the phone twice and a sleepy eyed staff member finally appeared and opened the door. A/C was very noisy. And cleaning staff never showed to replenish towels or empty trash.

It worked great for my family who were in town for a funeral. We were able to spend some great time together at the hotel.

I loved the large parking spots. How nice and a change from the cramped ones you usually find at other hotels. The hotel was quiet and the mattress was firm. I would recommend fixing your light scones on the 3rd floor as they are all broken and maybe leaving the coffee and tea options out past breakfast.

First, all the good stuff. It’s got a great location, easy to get to if you’re traveling through Scottsbluff. Not on the main road so it was quiet. Front desk staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Gave me a great dinner recommendation, Roma Italian Kitchen. Breakfast was good with all the usual bagels, muffins, cereal, eggs, waffles, etc…The problem was the half cleaned room. I think the person got interrupted when they were cleaning because the room was clean (although one of the beds did have some strange thing stuck on the sheet) but the rug, counters, tables all clean and smelled clean. The bathroom however needed improvement. The shower curtain was dirty, the toilet seat was wet and the toilet was clearly not wiped down because you could see the pee on it, hair in the tub. The chair had some odd white stuff on it but maybe that was from cleaning product sprayed on there that was not wiped down. The reason I think the cleaner was interrupted is because the towels were not completely folded, the shower curtain was pushed off to the side as if the tub was going to be cleaned. I’d give them the benefit of the doubt and just take a good look around the room when you check in.

This is not a good hotel. Various issues: Some of the sheets weren't exactly clean. Multiple power outlets in the room, as well as the room refrigerator and the ice machine down the hall, did not work. Breakfast was entirely average. Somehow they managed to zone in a very residential area not immediately off the main road, which I don't think makes the neighbors all too happy. If you're a Marriott fan, this is your only option in the area, but if you have no such brand loyalty you might want to go elsewhere.
