Tonnara di Scopello

Being private it's all a free lunch... entrance 15 euros if you book online you skip the line, inside the water 33 cl 2 euros... parking 10 euros... for goodness sake the place is certainly beautiful, but I found the prices exaggerated. It's one of those things to do once in a lifetime and that's it.

A breathtaking place. But the so-called location rent. Mold in the shower, the only structure present, the bar, closes at 8 pm with little or nothing to buy to eat, except a salad and 1 sandwich left. Low quality salad. (I wonder why at check-in they call what time the requested meal is scheduled, if they don't then tell you that it isn't there). While it is true that there are dedicated spaces, beyond the gate when I arrived at least 100 people, boats anchored with loud music and noise. If you want water, a beer, or anything else, you have to go get it at the bar, and take it to the tuna fishery. And when I went and asked for bottled water, explaining that I was a guest in the tuna fishery, I was asked "but are you sure you are a guest?" Not even if I were telling lies. In short, I would understand the high cost, if it offered calm and peace, and if the services were present. I confirm that the place and also the rooms are delightful. But to be satisfied with this, the prices should be half. A few precautions would be enough, a stocked fridge, an email reminding you that there is nothing to eat on site. A shopping service!!!! And a little education, finding out if I was really a resident in the facility without doubting my word was easy, just "charge to the room, can you tell me the number/none?" A real shame ... and to think that I wanted to go back.

The place is amazing, its management which provides limited access but without time limitations to the equipped beach, museum and obviously the sea. A beautiful place that I will not forget and from which to read some good novel or essay on Sicily.
